Avatar: The Last Airbender - Book 1: Water
On February 21, 2005, Nickelodeon aired the hour long series premiere of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The series, which was created by Bryan Koneitzko and Michael DiMartino for Nickelodeon Animation Studios, exploded on to the scene with it's debut season - garnishing rave reviews, high ratings and a Pulcinella Award for Best TV Series of 2005.

Misc. Info
Nickelodeon released the Season One DVDs on January 31, 2006. Each DVD, contained four episodes on one disc. Also released was The Complete Book One Collection Box Set, which contained all of the twenty episodes in the season, and bonus materials, all on six discs.
