Those negative reviews did bash my spirits about this movie, but as soon as i heard they were reshooting
to improve the feedback they got just boosted it back up past the point i was before.

I'm loving everything about this movie that I've seen so far and I can't wait for it to come out.The negative reviews got me down for a little while but then came the information that they were reshooting some scenes and that made me feel better.

I'm still excited about seeing the film. The bad reviews have not worried, bothered, or frustrated me at all. How many movies have had bad reviews? There has been many and they have been successful. I don't think we should worry. Everything we have seen has been great so far. Has it not? I can't complain a bit.

I am thrilled that there will be a live action version of such a wonderful story. I LOVE all the adaptation aspects so far, such as the change in costumes and Aang's tattoo and other visual aspects and so on. I have confidence in M. Night Shayamalan because every time I watch one of his movies I am still in awe of his vision and the simple elegance of his directing. I love the creative team that he has working with him, Frank Marshall, Andrew Lesne, James Newton Howard, etc. All things that I think will equal an amazing movie.

The negativity that has come out of woodwork thus far, such as the "racebending" thing and the negative reviews have me worried a little, especially the reviews. I'm terribly afraid that this movie will not succeed with non-fans and we won't get any more. About the race thing, I am confident that the best people where picked for the parts. Enough said.

Honestly we are in the very early stages of getting a feel for what the actual movie will be like in terms of tone, especially with not a single word uttered from the two main characters... can't wait for that by the way :)

It seems that with the reshoots, they are honestly trying to make the best movie possible which is a little refreshing this day in age during the summer movie season *cough* transformers 2 *cough*. Anyway, that has restored my confidence a bit that they are fixing any mistakes that were caught at the advance screenings.

So all in all, I am expecting to thoroughly enjoy this movie and I now that I will fall absolutely in love with at least some aspects of it. There is no movie in my entire life that I have anticipated more and I'm just desperately trying not to think about the fact that the fate of the trilogy rests on a director that the majority of the public have given up on and a very young, mostly unknown cast. But this is The Last Airbender and to me, that promises great things.

When I first heard it was M. Night, I wasn't sure what to expect. I personally thought he was okay, what I had seen of his work, but so many people seemed to be horrified at the idea.

I made up my mind when I saw his interview with Mike & Bryan on the S2 boxset. I was thrilled to find out he's as big a fan as any of us. He was so enthusiastic about having this chance, and he was confident it had the makings of an epic film trilogy. He was doing this for his family and for his kids in particular. And he was pretty much awestruck by the creators and valued their opinions. At the end, I was grinning ear-to-ear. Whatever his skills, us fans couldn't ask for anyone better. I had no doubt he was the only director worthy of this job.

My confidence was reinforced when the teaser came out. It really did have an epic feel to it. So much greater in scope and feel to anything he'd done before. He's stepped up his game big time for this. It pretty much stated "Forget everything you thought you knew about M. Night Shyamalan." I KNOW he can do this!

my current opinion is that Nightbender's meeting will be very positive as it relates to the production.

I'm very excited! I really think Mr. Shyamalan can pull it off.

Here are some random thoughts I had:

- They are making 3 movies. Honestly, when I first heard that they were making TLA, I thought, "Good Lord, how are they going to possibly pull that off?!?" Then, after doing some research, I discovered there will infact be three movies, and I was happy. I mean, can you imagine the whole entire series stuffed into one movie? Nuh uh.
- From the trailers and the pictures I've seen, I like the costumes.
- Suki is going to be in it! Suki is cool :)
- I think the actors chosen for Sokka and Aang look good. Same with Iroh.
- Dev Patel, who is playing Zuko, is a terrific actor, though I wish they had cast someone who looks a bit more like Zuko in the cartoon. Same goes with Katara. I think the actress looks kinda young. But, eh, whatever.
- From what I've seen in the trailers, the effects look fantastic. I can't wait to see more.
- I'm afraid the bending will look really cheesy. Yup. That's all I have to say about that.

OK i am not sure if this goes here but this did'nt need a new thread either but this is on The Cant create their own Fire when they Firebend subject. This just dawned on me but having them grabbing from a source is actually a very good idea because if the Fire Nation were so almighty powerful and can bend naturally why has the war been going on for 100 years and still no resolution?

It would be more plausible for the war to be going on for 100 years with them having to take from a source rather than naturally Firebending. Also The Air Nomad's got wiped out with the help of The Comet which in this films terms gives them the right to bend naturally so it would rightfully make them more deadly.

this is just my new found take on The Taking From A Source Firebending ;)

I'm mad about the names...
"Ong"
"Eer-oh"
"Soa-kah"
... Because I'm so used to hearing them the way in the show.
Otherwise, this movie is going to be epic.
