This whole thread is an awesome mess of questions and answers thrown all around! I'm gonna make a document for myself with all this info... LOL

We've definitely had an information overload these past few hours/days and I considered doing this too. I'm just glad there are people out there willing to share this stuff. I wonder if it would be worth it to create a thread with all the confirmed facts so we wouldn't have to dig through everything - almost like the Photo Gallery page.

So this thread will contain all the facts that we know about The Last Airbender: everything that has been confirmed. Also this thread can double as a 'Look Here Before Posting' thread if it makes it that far. But we'll cross that bridge when we get there. If you have any questions, just read the content and if you're question is unanswered, ask away in this thread. Also feel free to post all the facts you know and I'll put them into the topic post.

• Iroh is the best of the best, period, end of story. Unanimous.
• Noah Ringer is a wonderful choice for Aang.
• Nicola Peltz is better than average for Katara, but could still use some work on her acting.
• Jackson Rathbone as Sokka is pathetic in all areas.
• Zhao is not cast very well. Aasif Mandvi seems misfit to play his character.
• Cabbage Merchant is cut.
• June the Bounty hunter is cut.
• Jeong Jeong is cut. Shyamalan plans for him to be in the third movie.
• The Blue Spirit is in.
• Yu Yan Archers are in.
• Appa and Momo are both in.
• Aang is pronounced "Ahng" as in bongo.

• Water, Earth, and Air Bending works the same as in the show.

~ QUESTIONS ~

What is the deal with Jesse McCartney? Jesse McCartney was originally cast to play Prince Zuko, but later quit because he didn't want to go through martial-arts training.
Who's doing the Special FX/CGI? ILM, Industrial Light an Magic.
Is Haru in the movie? Haru is supposedly cast as Isaac Jin. It is only rumored. Haru has been confirmed as Isaac Jin.
Can we contact anyone from the film directly? Frank Marshall has Twitter account.
Who is writing the score for TLA? James Newton Howard.

That is a good thread indeed. Btw, better mark in the title that is has massive spoilers

So, the earthbending guy is actually Long Feng. He was casted, but won't appear in the first movie.

Katara isn't mediocre at all, she IS Katara, but in different ways. Pure and sober. Her waterbending is fabulous at the end, she moves well and she's very good looking. I was surprise, Peltz could be that pretty... Her eyes are truly amazing, Nicola if you read this, I'm yours.
She just seems a bit less concern about what's happen. She's less the mother strong willed type like she was in the show, she's more like a fragile kind girl an that's ok. She isn't mediocre.

Sokka seems to be a lot more mature, like a big brother ( very different from the show, since Katara is the big brother ). In fact, he's a strong and smart leader. That's ok the 3/4 of the movie but yue story killed it.
He's a very different Sokka, he act like a true big brother to Katara.

Zuko is perfectly casted. He has crazy kick and sword move, he truly can fight. He looks angry and rush as hell. He's taller than Rathbone... And his fight with Katara was just WAOUH. Beautiful effect, very good move and tension between Zuko and Katara. Do I mentioned the hug between him and his uncle ? TOUCHING, really, some of you will let go some tears at the end of shaun toub speak.

Aasif mandvi, is an epic fail, and that was what strike me at first. He look ok when he appear, he walk like a soldier, has the soldier's shoulder ad then he speaks and that's dramatic... EPIC FAIL, his voice doesn't fit Zhao.

In my thought, the best action scene is the Zuko's intrusion as the blue spirit. He's fast, technical, decisive and agile, a true elite intruder. Scene was short but impressive.

From Blue -

The best part is the ending battle (+-25 minutes) witch end in Koizilla half-kameo thing as he Aang doesn't walk down to the sea but attack the fleet witch Mega tsunami wave ... it's great

Also, Kyoshi part is quite nice. My favorite moment was the Blue Spirit... Aang never know that it is Zuko, but Zhao discover it... the martial art here is great

Well in TLA the finall scene is :

Arriving of FN, battle witch water bender (+-5-6 minutes)
Haru and some elite warrior (+-2-3 minutes)
Zhao enter the city (+-2-3 minutes)
Zuko infiltrate the city as Zhao think he is dead (like show) (+-4-5 minutes)
Zutara fight (+-5 minutes)
They chase Zuko in the snow (+-2 minutes)
Aang come back, Zhao in the oasis (+-2 minutes)
Red moon (+- 2 minutes)
Kill the moon, Iroh couterstrike (+-2-3 minutes)
Aang go AS (+-3 minutes)
Aang go Koizilla-thing (+-3 minutes)
Moon bring back, Bye-bye Yue (+-4-5 minutes)
Waterbender win (+-1-2 minutes)

Between there is some Spirit World action
