actually it could notice alot was missing and certain scenes were put in wrong places something's sound awkard but with a deleted scene it isn't akward anymore.

Indeed. Maybe should call our movement "Length Bending." Wait, actually that sounds sort of gay. :?

Anyway, yeah, we should definitely start petitioning for an extended cut immediately. I am not going to buy this movie unless it's the original, uncut version before they stripped it of all its personality and the Kyoshi Warriors. Cutting those 25 minutes hurt the movie in a very bad way. With an extended cut, maybe we can at least make this go from being a mediocre movie with great visuals to an all around pretty good movie.
I believe an Extended Cut can save the film. (maybe)

Well, that is good news.... :)

only if there will be another movie. he doesn't know for sure if there will be another movie, or rather with him as the director, but he acts as if there will be one with him as the director.

As I started to make the film I just went and did my job, but at the earlier part they came down a lot, they came down to Philly a lot and we'd go through it and when we finished the screenplay they really gave their double-thumbs up and were like "yknow this is great!"

Mike and Bryan... how could you?!?!?!

One possible explanation: the original script was actually pretty good, but the movie ended up undergoing suckification during either production or post production-- or both. The graphic novel and novelization are apparently pretty good, so either the authors of both worked slavishly to improve upon the source material, or the movie as it exists is not a good representation of the script.

It's really saddening, because the movie actually got so much stuff right. But unfortunately, that was not enough to overcome the fundamental problems with how it was cut up and re-assembled.

I made this just because I can, and I'll expand/update it. ;)

shots/scenes that were missing:
1. (Sokka and Katara from intro) http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/5592/c ... 13laye.jpg
2. (Zuko probably finding Katara's necklace) http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/1982/t ... traile.jpg
3. (Kyoshi Warriors) http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/2563 ... trical.jpg
4. ("WOOHOO!") http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/8838 ... ayer11.jpg
5. (the map) http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/769/tl ... ayer12.jpg
6. (Roku) http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/3815/t ... ayer19.jpg
7. ("How'd you do that?"/"You can bend air!") http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/8279 ... layer9.jpg
8. (Katara training with other waterbenders) http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/8260 ... layer1.jpg
9. (Katara training with Pakku) http://img138.yfrog.com/img138/6943/mov ... pictur.png
10. (the original epilogue) http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/7432/img001xh.jpg
11. (the firebenders from the intro) http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/6568 ... layer9.jpg
12. ("I taught him that."/"Hey!") I couldn't find the shot.
13. ("I don't deserve their praise."/"You will.") There isn't a shot for this, and it could have been dialogue just for the trailers.

shots/scenes that I think were missing (please remind me if they weren't):
1. (I can't remember if they actually showed the fireball) http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/9489 ... 32laye.jpg
2. (Zuko gearing up) http://img693.imageshack.us/img693/1982 ... traile.jpg http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/7169 ... railee.jpg
3. ("I won't let you take him!") http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/1105 ... raileo.jpg
4. (Katara's angry face) http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/8378 ... raileg.jpg
5. ("If he's real, he's just one person.") http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/7781 ... 34laye.jpg
6. ("Destroy him!") http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/9665 ... 22laye.jpg
7. ("For generations people have been searching for him.") http://img375.imageshack.us/img375/134/ ... ayer52.jpg
8. ("We can do this together!") http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/4710/t ... yer125.jpg
9. ("We have these powers for a reason.") http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/9862 ... ayer14.jpg
10. (the hug at the Southern Air Temple) http://img138.yfrog.com/img138/6943/mov ... pictur.png
11. (all (or part of) Yue's little speech to Aang): http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/6172 ... aileqn.jpg

things from the novelization/manga that were missing (some might have been just for the manga/novel though):
1. Zhao temping Aang with a bucket of water or something.
2. The Dragon Spirit telling Aang about Sozin's Comet.
3. Katara losing her necklace and Aang getting it back.
4. the fortuneteller/medium
5. Sokka calling Katara a "baby-bender"
6. Aang asks Katara about her necklace in Southern Water Tribe
7. Sokka asks Yue if his grandmother asked what would she say her feelings were for him, and she says he is her best friend.

other:
1. The rest of the intro...
2. the dancing villagers

You know, I don't know what to say to all those changes. I think I, as well as many others, would have enjoyed the movie much more with those small extra scenes in there. They add more depth, in the story and in the characters. I just.. wow.
