Do you think movies 2 and 3 will be made?

They need to face up to reality and look over their shoulders. Look at the Lord of the rings, Harry potters, Narina's and now Percy Jackson!

Why are they all reasonably to very successful? what have they all done really well?
1. Their characters ARE very close to what was originally characterized. This is more than the race, its also the body size, the voice, body movements and how they interacted with their co-stars. If you can't even respect the race of the characters, the chances of you respecting other characterizations are very low. I did believe that Night's arrogance to the race of the lead actors, was a TELL TELL sign to his wider arrogance to the characters themselves.
Ron has ginger hair. Harry has glasses and the scar. Hermoine has the hair. They all are white. They all act how JK Rowling described. It all adds up.

2. They need to work on the CGI. It was good however the post-production of the 3D I believe has ruined the visuals.

3. Karata is to shut up with the narrating. Or i'll voicebend her speechless! show don't tell

4. Trust the source material. You, Mr Night strayed away from it a little bit and have placed yourself in a corner. Nick and Paramount need to come out of that corner and believe in the franchise.

Oh please. The race of the actors was the least of this movie's problems. They could have all been Chinese/Korean/Japanese and it would have had the same problem of the characters all speaking in Epositionese throughout the film and never sitting down to develop their characters. And for what it's worth, I think that Noah Ringer did a fine job as Aang, but the dialogue he was working with for the most part was pretty bland and did not do much to develop his character.

I think, if a sequel is made, that 3D should be skipped. It really adds nothing to the movie and only uses up more budget money. I would rather the money go to more special effects for bending.

Agreed. Every million dollars they wast on 3D is a million dollars that they can spend on the movie itself.

Or if they go 3D with the next one, FILM it in 3D like JC's Avatar. That way, colors aren't lost and the dimensions are real. It's expensive, but it works.


Dare I say it, but maybe TLA should have been a pure CGI/realistic movie, like the Final Fantasy movie. Technology is even better now than it was in the early 2000s and the characters and animation would be higher quality than the FF movie. That way, it would have been cheaper to produce, the characters could have been made to look like their correct ethnicity, 3D is super-easy to integrate, and everyone would have been happy. Also, all the original voice actors (Aang might have to be recast because his actor grew up...) could have been the voices.

I hope so, They need a Clean start If they decide to make the other Books. New Actors, Better Script and Anyone who isn't M. Night Shyamalan to direct the Movie.

Thanks for trying to reduce me to a 'racebender'. If yo read what i took time to type you'd understand what I was saying. That M. Night Shyamalan ignogrance to stick with a characters ethnic identity is a TELL TELL sign of his inability to stay true to other elements of the film. Can yo not understand this? where as directors of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings BEGAN with respecting the characters. They also respected the elements of the respective books and had their fingers on the fans pulse. Please try to see my point and not just try to dismiss me as some 'racebender' who makes no sense.

I am willing to bet if we got peter jackson, he'd be respecting everything about the characters. Its a sign of a some one who actually gives a damn about trying to make a success of a franchise. Instead we got Mr M.Night screaming 'i'm doing it my way. waaa' it tried to feeds his ego. Its backfired.

What a ridiculous thing to say. As If I knew before hand the rushed job to get the movie into 3D would turn out badly. Gosh its fans like you who go around making fans look like they are deluded zombies. Any criticism of the material is lol'd, told to be unimportant or wrong with no logical reasoning.

Well if they do, and i hope they do, i really hope that they will take everything they did wrong with the first one into account and fix them for the sequel! And M.Night better step his game up, or be replaced by somebody who can get the epicness and magic of the series into a movie! And please get proper writers for the second one!
