Toph Casting Predictions

If M.Night had a chinese girl that he really liked for Katara, maybe he would like her for Toph? I wonder who that girl was...

maybe, she is a nick girl, and she's chinese. Was there any mention of her and TLA?
Shes cute, but for some reason I don't really see her as Toph, but I've only really seen her in that one Victorious episode so she could be fabulous.

15 years old?!?! WOW! Isn't Toph only 12? She looks great and almost perfect, but she's 3 years too old. Hey did I mention that I'm turning 12 this year.

All that really matters is how old the actress looks (and acts, but thats a given) so if she's small for her age, she could still play Toph. You can really tell from the vid though

And @ Tophbeifong You know that not always, actually very rarely, the actress doesn't match every single description, and age,definitely, does NOT play a huge role in casting . For example, Jennifer Lawrence in "The Hunger Games", Percy Jackson in "Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief", Hailee Steinfeld in the upcoming "Forgotten" and even Noah Ringer/Dev Patel/Jackson Rathbone wasn't the same ages as their characters! As long as the actress has enough skills the casting director probably won't matter, and if you want to know, I know this because I personally know some high-end casting directors.

but I thought noah was 12 during filming, 13 when it came out, and now hes like 14...

yep crystal's right. but don't we need to re-cast aang because noah is like 15 already, 3 years older than aang, and he definitely looks like a teen now

I think we already decided that noah looked young enough still that he could pass for only a year older. I would worry more about Nicola, even during the premier and interveiws she looked so diff than the she in the movie. Course, that may be in part due to her braids.

But she would be to old for Toph in the 3rd movie, she would be probably 16-17 by then
