Kataang or Zutara?

I've always anjoyed the Zutura chemistry, allthough I also always knew it'd end up all being Kataang.

Zutara. Forever. But that's just me...

Even thou Zuko "turned to the dark side" in the end of season2, I still hoped and even believed Zutara would occur with all it's epicness. In my mind, their relationship seemed more logical because Aang was the Avatar and (I thought) he would have to dedicate he's post-war life keeping balance in the world, not being able to have a relationship. Worst enemies becoming lovers is a bit cliché, which is partly why I believed it zutara would occur. And I hoped for it 'cause I'm a sucker for such chichés.

I predicted that Mai would stay on "the dark side" and when Zuko left her and the whole Fire Nation after the invasion, I thought it was partly because of Katara ^^'

yeah, I was a bit disappointed.
but it's all cool anyway.

yeah they didn't really let us know that the avatar can do that until "the avatar and the firelord"

Still, I think it's only the avatar that reincarnates. He just draws very similar people around him in he's each life. Then again there has been female avatars too...

maybe some answers, didn't finish reading it yet tho. But I will before I mess up my head pondering about this reincarnation business. It could be that even the writers didn't think everything throughoutly in their story.
Mr. Tolkien tried it with he's stories, but died before he finished.

I'm pretty sure that was in the episode 'The Avatar and the Firelord' in the beginning of book three.

Well, okay, I always had a feeling Katara would play out in the end...
but no joke, when Katara ran towards Zuko to aid him after he risked his life for Katara I couldve sworn they were gonna kiss. I was screaming out of pure joy...and then it didnt happen...and I turned as crazy as Azula.
But I've gotten over my excessive love for Zutara.
I'm still on board that ship though.
Aang and Toph are a cute couple, even though Katara and Aang have the 'history'

I personally thought aang should have stopped caring about katara after "the southern raiders" I mean she goes all psycho and in the end she doesn't even forgive Yon Rha, which imo is the complete opposite of aang. I was a hardcore kataanger up until that point and after that it just didn't feel right. It would have been sweet if katara had gone evil and ended up fighting aang. We all know aang could vaporize her, but would he have the guts to do it? Just spouting pure nonsense here but i think katara was the only person that could kill aang in a fight. NOT counting azula cause she cheap shotted him in the back XD

The thing is though that Psycho!Katara wasn't the real Katara. The real Katara wasn't a killer. Aang knew she wasn't, so he tried coaxing her inner goodness, the "real" her, back out again. (Just like she'd done for him in The Desert and The Serpent's Pass.) And whatta ya know... it worked.

...still not very nicely reflective of Katara's character I agree. Though I wouldn't go so far as to say she should've turned evil because of it. Going back to her old self was just fine with me, and that's what she did.
