Kataang or Zutara?

One more vote for Zutara! Although I don't oppose Kataang. I mean, it was kind of obvious it was going to pan out in favor of Kataang, despite all of the ruckus we Zutarian's stirred up whenever Zuko and Katara interacted. Perhaps my love for Aang and his happiness outweighs my own fangirl-y wants, because I was happy with the way the coupling worked out in the end. Well, to be honest, I'm not a very big fan of Mai, but that's a discussion for another day.

(...but seriously, long live Zutara, even if it only exists in my head! )

I don't think too many chicks are fans of mai. She seems to be more of a male likeable character. I thought Mai was pretty Badass myself so that's one vote for Mai from the male side. That and most of my friends liked her. I wonder how much zutara is gonna be in the movies. Like are they gonna play off of it more? focus on it even? I'm not saying that the third movie will be about zutara mind you. I'm just wondering if it they will actually make zutara exist in the movies. In the series zutara is mainly an idea. never fully realized. it would be interesting to say the least. I'm not saying zuko will end up with katara, but i'm just wondering if they will present an opportunity for katara to choose between them. If Mai is in the movies though (and i don't know why she wouldn't) it doesn't seem like they would be able to pull it off.

Some Zutara moments will add intrigue. That's what i name Drama - "a story about love" seems interesting.

I feel like you're right (with the whole Mai seems to be more of a likable character in the male population), although I know a few girls who think Mai's pretty kick-ass. I guess the reason why I never really grew to liking Mai is because I can't stand her voice...? That's probably pretty petty of me, and I'm not saying that I don't think that voice actress isn't talented, I just have a really hard time liking any kind of character with a monotone voice. Also, I love me some Zuko. You might even go as far as saying I'm quite the Zuko fangirl. And you know, ultimately, as a Zuko fangirl, I want what's best for him *coughcoughKATARAcoughcough* So, pairing up one of my favorite characters with a monotone, selfish, (*hides from Mai lovers*) blah-kind of girl isn't exactly my cup of tea. Alas, they end up together and there's really nothing I can do about it. I will say that Mai can kick some serious butt, though. I have to give her that.

I won't be very disappointed if there isn't any Zutara in the movie. I feel like having Zutara-like moments will make it less authentic, if that makes sense. I'm glad that Zuko and Katara interacted and had scenes and adventures together (and I hope those scenes make their way in the movie somehow!), but in reality, they were never as romantic or suggestive as we Zutarians made them out to be. Maybe people read into them (me being one of those people) for the sake of hoping something would transpire, but it didn't. And that's okay. But, since it didn't, I feel like they'd be pushing the envelope a little bit and I'm sure there'd be a huuuuge outburst from the Kataang fans....and pitchforks would probably be involved.

Me being a Zuko fangirl I want the best for him.
But yeah, I totally think Kataang is adorable. Personally I think it'll transcend better in the films than in the series in my eyes.

I'm a sucker for cannon couples. So Kataang it is for me! Though I have to admit I'm not a fan of the Zuko/Mai.

I loved that moment too ! And the one when Mai helps Zuko escape - it's hard to forget her face. Although i'm not a Maiko fan too.
