What element would suit your personality type and what would make you, you.

I mean, that's for me at least.
Surely there are loads of people who choose elements for superficial and shallow reasons.

I'd be a water bender, because they're all about adapting to whatever comes along, which I thnk is important. Also, freezing people is awsome.

waterbender I'm scared of drowning i wouldn't have to worry about swimming, if a tsunami ever hits i'm saved. i love the rain so it would be cool to control water while it rains, maybe i could turn it to snow. I would be an airbender too, but the only reason is because I would be able to fly.

I would most definitely want to be an airbender! Not only because of the fun and versatility of the element , but I love the Air Nomad philosophical mix of spirituality, nonviolence, and freedom.

It would make sense that "lavabending" would be an avatar only ability. However it would make more sense for earthbenders to bend it than firebenders. This is because lava is a form of molten rock or earth. This would make sense, because if earthbenders can't bend lava, why should water benders be able to bend ice, water, and steam/vapor? A bender should be able to manipulate all states of an element. some people might argue that Sozin was able to bend lava. This is not true. If you watch the episode, Sozin only redirects heat from the lava. Heat redirection/control is a firebender ability, such as when Iroh heats his tea.

But remember in "The Day of Black Sun" when they are on their way to infiltrate the bunker. They have to fly across this river of lava. How would the firebenders get across if they couldn't bend lava?
