Who is your favorite character?

Postby baaSHEEPbaa on Fri Jun 12, 2009 5:40 pm

So what's all of your fav characters? Mine's Toph! I don't have a clue how they came up with a small, blind earthbending girl. And I like Toph cause I'm like her, not physicaly (I'm strong though), but all of her fantastic comments... That's me!!!

Wow, I think this is the hardest question I've had to answer in these forums...

If there is on thing I liked about Avatar, was its characters. The breathe, they grow, they mature and feel. We aren't speaking of plain jobs, but of circular complex psicologies.

I love how Katara changed during the series, Sokka's intellect and example that raw power is not only needed to dfeat others (admit it, many times withou Sokka, they would have lost more), Toph's awesomenes...

I guess, my favoritism goes to Zuko. He truly is a jewel in characterization and human development.

My favourite character ? Yeah pretty hard question...it's flying around Zuko and Aang. But mainly Zuko - he's not the main character, but the way of he's thinking, the way his destiny flows - is so interesting. A banished prince who wants to find the Avatar to redeem his honour - after some time starts to think about his life, and goes on the good side.

I would have to say aang. Followed by zuko and azula. i can't decide between them. Azula is so cool and evil at the same time. Kinda reminds me of the joker. just less intense. I love zukos development though. His story is just as deep as aangs. And Aang isn't my favorite because he's the main character or because he's the avatar. I don't know... i guess i can just relate to Aang better then the others. I love animals and despite my attitude i'm quite the pacifist. Really hate confrontations. And i have about the same smoothness with the ladies as aang does. And I love to goof off. Not a serious person at all.

Ty Lee. Followed closely by Toph. Those two remind me the most of anime characters that I'm fond of. I'm amazed by Toph's character development because she's about the only American-made tsundere character... ever? Probably. And Ty Lee's just refreshingly goofy and happy, plus her fighting style is cool. Anyone who's read my fanfic could probably have guessed my choices...

Oh, and I think Iroh's cool too. They should make a series based off of Pai Sho. It could be called 'Iroh's Pai Sho' and involve Iroh finding an old Pai Sho board possessed by the spirit of an ancient Pai Sho player who is searching for the greatest move in all of Pai Sho history... *cough* Wait... that sounds kinda like an anime I know of... um...

I can't really pick a favorite.
Gosh, I just love Zuko's progress. Everytime I hear "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus (yes it's Miley, I hate her, but it's a good song) I think of Zuko. If anything I think he's the character that has the most development. His character has literally been everywhere emotionally. Azula is also another one that is just so bad ass. Hm. I'm going to say Zuko. n____n!
...
I also love Ozai. Uh, hello. Mark Hamill ftw.

Ahhh.... I love the Avatar characters. But I'd have to say Zuko is my favorite. It was a joy seeing him progress. I knew he could do it! Even in the first season when he was "the bad guy" he was so deep! The Storm! Blue Spirit! The unconscious Aang talk in Siege of the North! And then the symbolism of cutting his top knot! AHHH! Then he was freakily good, then 'Zula came... Now I'm ranting.

Anywho. Zuzu forever.

I loved "the storm" After that episode You start to feel sorry for zuko. they managed to make you like the antagonist but his goals are... well.. evil! The backstory on Aang was good but the info about zuko was very surprising. most villains would be shrouded in mystery and just be the bad guy that you boo at whenever he shows up.
