NBA Finals

Postby CancerianFireLordess on Wed Jun 20, 2012 3:45 am

Anyone else watching the 2012 Finals?
I'm not going to make an over-passionate first post if no one is even watching.
So. Just seeing. You know. If anyone's out there.

I'm semi-following the NBA finals. I'm not watching the games like a hardcore fan, but I'm catching the highlights.

I think the Thunder are done. They may pull out Game Five, but I don't see them winning this series(and it pains me greatly to say that). This experience will definitely help them next year though!

What are your thoughts, Cancerian?

Being I'm from Miami, I'm obviously for the Heat.

I thought that OKC would have brutally massacred them, tbh. I didn't even think they'd beat the Celtics (Rondo is a BEAST). The Heat like to focus on their "big 3" and it upsets me because they have such other great players that they barely recognize (ie. Chalmers, and Battier). OKC might as well be a human machine because they're all younger and they're all incredible as a team; as a unit.

They need to change their tactic. They're not OKC. They need to stop trying to constantly make three-pointers. That's not their game. I mean, sure, they have Battier and he's the best for three-pointers, but it's annoying to see them constantly trying to make those baskets when they could be playing more towards their strengths. Lebron is a human tiger. They need to rush the basket. Literally, you either make get points or get fouled.

BUT MAN. EVERY SINGLE GAME IN THE FINALS HAS BEEN SO INTENSE. I'm so utterly shocked that the Heat are winning games LET ALONE WINNING THE FINALS. UNO MAS Y SACABO!

That's cool, gotta support your team!

Really? That's interesting. The Thunder themselves rely on their Big 3. I also wouldn't call Battier a great player. He's good at what he does(defense and the open three), but he does little else. Chalmers did well in the fourth quarter of Game Four as well. It'll be interesting to see if he gets more minutes tonight.

I haven't been watching enough to reply to these comments.

This is super true. All games indeed have been crazy intense!! I would watch tonight's game, but I can't stand the quality of NBA officiating.

Have fun watching the game tonight!

Oh. And. Heat won.
I haven't had internet for 4 days.
I would go see the parade, but that's in downtown, and filled with refs who don't understand people's personal bubble.

Congrats on the Heat winning the title. It'll be interesting to see how they do next year. Hopefully my Rockets will be able to make the playoffs and challenge for the title! :)
