A good movie, but definately not the best thing ever.
The images were eye candy, which I liked, but there were many flaws that I picked up on, and probably more that I didn't notice at all.

The visuals were definitely flawless, but the story line wasn't that good. Too predictable and a bit boring at times. The 3D was incredible though.

Aha, that's more understandable now! I thought the "flaws" were associated with the the CGI work. It was spectacular in 3D. Honestly...I could CARELESS about the plot XDDD.

There are so many things wrong with this sentence, I could break down and cry. And may just.

I must strongly and firmly agree. If a movie has crap graphics and an epic story, it will rock my world. If it has epic graphics and crap story, not so much. :?

Maybe I should rephrase that...cause now that I look at that sentence and realize that was totally a WTF moment XD

First: I KNOW that the plot is CRUCIAL for a movie to be successful. I'm not an idiot.

That said,
Honestly, for Avatar, I WAS more taken in by the graphics because I literally had never seen anything like that before IN MY LIFE. I was on sensory overload. The plot for me just seemed to carry me along through the whole story. I knew exactly what was going on, but I was too busy trying to take in the grandeur of the world of pandora. The plot wasn't that spectacular, so it wasn't the first thing that stuck out in my mind. I guess I was comparing the level of epicness between the Effects and the Plot. Effects >>>>Plot. (in my opinion, for this movie)

Lots of people like to say if a plot is predictable, or not, but personally, when I watch a movie, i'm right there in the moment. Im not trying to predict what happens, I just want to go with the flow. I guess I'm a simpleton when it comes to watching movies... Sorry if I offended...?? you...????
