judging by picture she looks 16-18
and usually elders reveal that you're The Avatar at age of 16 so she already mastered 3 of the elements so I guess around 18 or even 19.. year for each element

I'm really excited for this. Avatar was originally going to be set in a futuristic world, and now we finally get to see what it would have looked like.

Before Appa, Aang had a polar bear-dog. In the art book, the creators said that they were probably going to end up using him for something. It would make sense for it to be Korra's animal companion.

That would be cool :D

Oh, and AANG was from a futristic world in the original version, and in his 1000 years in the ice there's been like an apocalypse and its changed to the way it is in the show.

I don't think that KORRA will be futuristic, just Republic City with be Steampunk.

This looks like it's going to be great. I just hope there will be some referenses to the original series. It doesn't have to be big, just some mentioning of the events in Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Is anyone really REALLY DEPRESSED by this? I'm so almost to the point of crying that I made an account to talk about it. I can't believe that my cute lovable and intensely awesome Aang dies at 66!!!!! B/c if this is 70 years later, and korra is 16, and Aang died before she was born then he died 54 years after TLA's end...so he was 12+54= 66....It's like I just found out that Aang died....and he wasn't even that old!!!!!!!!!!! Its soooo sad. And what about Katara, and Sokka, Zuko, Toph, Suki...did they ALL die in their 60s-70s? It's like they were all suddenly murdered so a new series could start 70 years later. and it just makes me sooooooo upset that Aang is dead.....
It also makes me upset that Zuko and Aang's era of "love and peace" didn't even last 100 years. The way TLA ends, you feel like they are going to work to end all strife and create a bette world, that Aang and the gAang fought the good fight and restored balance to the world. Instead their "balance" didn't even last for longer than half a century.
so to me, its like the gaang ALL FAILED, and DIED. Like they are murdered failures =[ I can't take it...I'm soooo upset...I think this has ruined my day...I miss Aang and I'm going back to a time when he wasn't dead at 66

who said something is ruined and no more era of peace..
era of peace is still going on in my thoughts just these are more modern times and like in a big city there is crime and underground societies like Anti-Benders so everything is normal in my thoughts..
only thing is that yeah Aang died pretty quick for Avatar, but who knows maybe there is a good reason for him dying that early..
and I think at least some of the Gang is still alive even maybe everyone except Aang.. that's is a little sad if others are alive and he's dead, but still we will see old Aang in spirit world wisely guiding Korra.
