Korra's Avatar State

Anybody think Korra will go into the avatar state as a defense mechanism when Amon tries to take her bending. In the next episodes preview, looks like the next time Korra opens her eyes they will be shining??

Well now u know I guess lol- But Korra's Avatar state- sligghtly disappointed me because it seemed that her state was a little too easily controlled? switched on and off. I would have liked it if she could learn to control herself enough to give bending abilities back byt the end of season 2 instead of being able to do it by the end of the episode. See we always used to watch avatars go into the avatar state as a final resort (Roku with saving the village, Kyoshi to seperate the islands, Aang to defeat firelord Ozai (not sure about Yangchen), Kuruk trying to save or look for his fiance). :?: did u feel this as well? Not that I don't like Korra all glowed up, I was hoping for it to be less refined at the start.

Yeah, she had instant control on her avatar state. When Aang went into it, everyone was pissing in their pants because he had no idea how to deal with it. Aang was also more emotionally stable than Korra aswell, so for her to control it just seemed...weird.

I definitely feel this part of the season finale was rushed. It took Aang, who was a much more spiritual person than Korra, many months to control the Avatar state. It would have been better if Aang had restored Korra's bending, then they spend the second season with Korra becoming a fully realized Avatar. But what do I know? :)

I wonder. Are we going to see much more development of Korra's character going forward? I think they really defined her as much as they could in season 1. She's hot-headed and loves Mako and sucks at being the Avatar. Nothing else to see there. So I'm hoping that at least we'll get to see her character develop with trying to master the Avatar-state. I don't think she mastered it yet, I think she was just able to use it just then because of Aang.

Maybe- but there's still a lot Korra hasn't seen, It's pretty much southern water tribe and Republic city- I would love it if she visited the swamp, kind giving her a clue of what she needs to do next- Also I loved the tales of ba sing se episode- I would love a darker version where we see vignette's of the characters' pasts- how crazy would it be if the thieves who took Asami's mother were the same that took Mako's/ Bolin's parents (too much batman/ spiderman influence here!).

Ahem! back to Korra's avatar state- it would be great if Aang and Appa took her on a tour of all the historic places of the war or the spiritual places he went to. I just want to see what they look like now.
