Chapter 2: A Leaf in the Wind

Postby NightBender on Sat Mar 24, 2012 4:11 pm

As with episode one, episode two was released this morning via Korra Nation.

This thread is to geek out majorly over chapter two.

I am loving the pro-bending. Bolin also seems like a character I am going to adore on the same level I adored Sokka. Soooo impressed with the way this series is starting!

What did y'all think?

I really really do not like this Modern 1930 City Style of things, i miss the days of Avatar Aang, now its all Cars and Shows and Gangsters with Cops, pretty soon we will see a New Avatar in the 20th Century. :?

Loved every bit of it, especially when
Korra used that airbending technique to win the match :D

^hahaha I LOVE MEELO

Pro-bending is SO COOL! But my sis and I were confused...

...over how the rounds worked, especially for that match with Korra in the end. So the Platypusbears won the first two rounds, and then the Fire Ferrets won the last round, so then they won the whole thing? :| So you only have to win the last round?

The Fire Ferrets won because they knocked out all three opponents in one round. It's kinda like a TKO in boxing. If your opponent wins 9 rounds boxing, but you knock him out totally in the tenth round, then you win. You win a round by "covering more ground" than the other team. If your opponents knock out of the ring two of you teammates, and you have advanced farther on their territory by the end of the round, then you win the round.

WHOARGH!! Meelo made my day!

And the action sequences -- the fighting -- it's way better than it was before. If Korra keeps this up, and gets "epic-er" as the intensity of the show drags on, this will definitely be my favorite Anime of all time. The art, the jazz, voice acting, the fighting animation, the content, and the cartoon-humor that you expect to find on Nickelodeon, they all work to make this show amazing. Top it all off in the Avatar world with Aang's character blatantly exposed through Korra? YES.

Bravo!

Amazing. I love this game already.

Don't let's start this with Korra now. Anime doesn't mean 'really good cartoon'. It means a cartoon made in Japan. It's a Japanese word for animation. If you're Japanese you can use it to describe a cartoon if you really want to, but if you're not then please don't start slapping it on any really good American cartoon as if somehow a Japanese name honors it above just calling it a 'really really awesome cartoon' or show or whatever other word actually fits.

Algus: It is the Will of Heaven!
Miluda: Heaven? God would never say such things! In His eyes all are equal! He'd never let this happen! Never!
Algus: Animals have no God!!

I don't know what you are talking about. The Legend of Korra is like my new favorite Manga!
