Air is the best, in my opinion. You could be in a metal box, and I doubt that you'll immediately learn how to bend metal. Whereas Air is everywhere, and can make AND harm, and NO harm at all.

Air, because the way Air Nomads look at the world and how they are nomads, going wherever, whenever. Air also is usually calm, like me, but can get harsh and scary, like me, and it basically is everything I am. I also move the way Air Nomad's do, like in the MA style Ba Gua. I love their staff/gliders! (I made 1 and am in the process of making a 2nd one.) Also, who wouldn't want a Lemur-Bat and Sky Bison!?
