tarrlock can blood bend, im so stoked about this. he did it without a full moon ftw. (but didnt katara blood bend without the full moon in the episode where her and zuko went to get revenge on her mothers killer?) any way great episode. i knew tarlock was a bad dude. cant really tell if its just power hungry bad or working with amon bad, but either way he has way too much power now with controlling the police and all. loved the comic relief in this ep, in the beginning and meelo was awesome, fart bending and hitting on asami, ha. a little dissapoint that they arent straveling on naga, but the car is sweet and with their bending abilities they prove they can get around well enough. i wonder if tarlock and amon are related and the man in the flashback is both of their fathers, looked like the older man was blood bending everyone even aang. so maybe amon was born a non bender, jealousy issues and what not. or they both fight against benders secretly for bringing down their father, i dunno just a guess.

Yes, Meelo is a funny dude!

Everything, everything about that episode, especially later on, was amazing. At one part, during the fight between Korra and Tarlock I was thinking "woah, they need to slow this episode down, this is too much! Too much awesome stuff!". But then I realized, this season is only supposed to have 12 episodes, and we're already on 8. I'm also really hoping this episode puts to rest the theories that Amon = Tarlock, because that would suck if it were true. Having two main "bad guys" on different sides is making this season pretty darn good!

edit: I also see that Korra's flashbacks were explained. Because she sucks at her spirituality, she only gets these weird hallucinations/visions about the past, and nothing like seeing spirits or anything like that as Aang did.

Loved the episode. "Right this way beautiful woman!" lol :D

When they started making comments about Korra's spirituality I was like "yes! finally a conversation with Aang" however I realize it might be too early to resolve her spirit world issues, those seem to be key to her character development. Loved seeing Tarlock in action, and I'm with Sparky, I really hope it's two bad guys who are not working together rather than one guy or Amon Tarlock being on the same team. The former makes it much more interesting... great episode!

Also, loved the allusion to Hama (TLA's blood bender) when Tarlock's hair went all crazy. Nice touch.

I always gets equally as upset every time an episode ends. Way to short.

Although it was great.

I need more, this show has become like crack for me. I think I'm gonna go back and watch it again.

Also my reaction:

I think it's become increasingly clear from these past few epuisodes that the same 'bending limitations' in ATLA are not evident in TLOK. With Amon stealing the bending capabilities and now Amon bloodbending without the full moon (yes, katara could only bloodbend with a full moon, go bad and rewatch the episode), I believe that perhaps they have some sort of relation? Dee Baker voices Tarlok and someone else voices Amon, but the voices are strikingly similar and they both have some pretty severe anger issues. Hah...

Less of Bolin and Mako in this one, sadly, but definitely one of my favorite episodes...glad to see the traditional bending syles resurface.

And am I the only one glad to know Asami is a freaing pro at driving the automatic cars? You go girl!

This. Was. So. Good.

Did anyone else want Korra to go into Avatar state when the police arrested all the non-benders and her friends? :P

I really do like this speculation, because
the guy did look like he was related to Tarlock, and it did look like he was bloodbending. And then Amon being Tarlock's brother that kinda explains how Tarlock's reaction to Korra saying he is like Amon looked like it really it him hard.

This episode was freaking epic! I keep thinking it can't get any better, but I'm repeatedly proven wrong.

I honestly thought the 'New Team Avatar' scene felt a bit forced and very scripted. I quickly forgot about that, however, when the patrol in Asami's car began. Yay for earthbendriving!

Damn, I think Tarlokk's snapped ("You ever tried going mad witout power? It's no fun!"). I think Korra needs to form her own force out of the Pro Bending teams, plus a few White Lotus members. Right now, she represents a third side to the conflict (which I henceforth call the 'Where is the Love' Consortium) but can't back it up.

And yeah, Tarlokk, Korra's right. You're playing directly into Amon's hands. Gee you're dumb.

Also...

TARLOKK CAN BLOODBEND!!!
WITHOUT A FULL MOON!!!

That was unexpected for me.

My guess is that next episode will have a discussion with Aang while Korra is imprisoned (if Tarlokk can keep her locked down for long enough).

I'm already guessing that either Avatar State or Ten-Lin will set her free from Tarlokk. But darn, this show took such a twist and turn that, while not too surprising, caught me completely off guard! Though I prefer Amon as a bad guy, seeing this new conflict rage out of control in a single episode was, well, awesome.

I really liked how the show portrayed what things were like for the non-benders. "You're our Avatar too", was a very cheesy line, and seemed pretty forced, but it came at the right time. And was it just me, or did anyone else see Tahno in that group (when they were being police-harassed)?
