Wow. That was neither mature or clever. Try using more refined terms in the future.

Really? No one's ever heard of the expression "Get your head out of your ass"? Wow, I'm surprised. Well, it was an extended, and VERY visual, version of that. Lol.

Ataru: You'd have to be from the UK. heheh..j/k I was TRYING to say, but failed (obviously), that he had his head up his ass while making the movie. That's why what he made was utter crap. (wordplay, anyone? yes? no? maybe?)

Macready: No, not mature, I must admit. Clever? Not if you can't take a joke.

Pardon my crassness, folks. It was rhetoric not made for the virgin ears. I apologize. I shall keep my language clean. I forget I'm on a forum about a cartoon.

baaSHEEPbaa: Thank you for being lighthearted :) At least one person got it.

It's the licking. The whole licking part was what did it. That was the part that made it less, as you would say in the UK, 'droll'.

Yeah... in hindsight.. that was waaaay OVER THE TOP... my bad... i did not mean to rape your imaginations.. but i must've, considering the backlash.

I just find it so difficult expressing my disappointment with Syamaladingdong, man. I'm so disappointed at how that movie turned out. Sigh.. still am. It had SOOO MUCH potential. The disappointment won't leave me until they reboot the whole movie franchise...heck, it wasn't even a franchise yet...no thanks to him. But we disgress..

Bending... passed on via spirituality or genetics?

p/s I'm not from the UK... the expression 'get your head out of your ass (arse)' is. I only lived there.

I say spiritually due to the end of the first series. When Aang

sealed Ozai's ability to bend

it was a spiritual thing: spirit bending, after all. Therefore the ability to bend must stem from a spiritual source. I think this is also apparent from the whole Avatar concept. Aang was not a descendant of the past Avatars, yet their spirits were tied to his. The 'Avatar State' was not a physical change in the body but rather a spiritual awakening. That's my argument.

I guess the first people benders would have had a lot of spiritual connection to the original benders and practiced lots meditation until they were 'enlightened' as how to bend.

neur0tix wrote:I still belive it is just blocked bending and it is not taken away permanently. As soon as i read this, it remembered me Toph. How did she came for earthbending? If its in gens of every person then she just didnt know that she can earthbend and badger-mole helped her to open that power. If it is energy or spirit then how da fak did badger-mole gave her that energy/spirit. Didnt see any touch between them to move some spirit. Ok i remember how their nosses touched, but i dont think it means something. We all seen what happenes when lion-turtle gave energy to Aang. On the otherhand, Aang was able to take away energy, not like fix gens or something. It really makes me think about the original benders. For example how did the Moon teach ancestors how to bend water. There was not any physical contact between them, some kind of spirit/energy transfer. They just tried to move water same way as Moon did in any special moment. And they succeeded! Now, the question is: Does every person in Avatar-universe has bending power and those animals(dragon, sky-bison, badger-mole) or moon just helps to open it? Or when you meet those animals, they will change you inside whatever it means (spirit/energy/gens)...
