Wow, this looks really cool already. The only thing that looks odd to me is Aang's head. It's probably just because manga does not usually have bald characters. Haha.

I can imagine that they are doing this in order to attract more people, trying to reach out to different types, you know? Kids that read manga aren't necessarily going to watch Nickelodeon shows. So, by making Avatar into a manga, they attract more people that are a bit different from the sort of people that they get already.
I am not sure if someone has already posted a similar response to this. I read comments too fast. Sorry if there is one already.

I hate the generic bishonen spiky hair look artist gave to Dev!Zuko.

Funnily enough, movie!Iroh look is what i like the most so far about the whole comic book thing, even if it doesn't look like cartoon!Iroh at all.

Iroh really seems like...a good guy. Even though it's different from Iroh from the series, the good-looking grin stays.

Lol, I think that spiky hair is just a plain ol' generic shounen look. The bishies usually look a little more androgynous and "pretty-boy" than that. I kinda like it. It looks...

...actually what it most reminds me of is Robin from the Teen Titans cartoon.

Anyway- SQUEE! Pretty artwork is pretty and I can't wait to add this to my (admittedly limited) Avatar/manga collections!
Yes, I am a HOPELESS ROMANTIC.
