I'm sorry, but I believe there's a severe bias going on here. Pro-casters don't want Noah to be white, so it's natural that any vaguely ethnic-looking features are going to mean more to them. If they didn't want him to be part-Asian so badly, any fractional East Asian background he might have wouldn't matter as much to them.

It's not about what procasters want or what anticasters believe, it's about stating the obvious. Noah is obviously not 100% white.

He might label himself as white just like Obama labels himself as black, even though he's half white.

I, personally, never claimed to have a campaign. I deal with arguments, not slogans. For the official racebending group, I agree, if Noah were not, in fact, white, it would definitely be a blow to that particle slogan. However, he is perceived to be white, which with regards to Hollywood and the media is what matters, and Noah's casting is not the only problem with the casting, so it would hardly leave this "campaign" in ruins.

What I'm saying is Obama has a white mother and a black father, but obama chooses for people to call him black (hence first black president) so noah's father could be white and his mother a different race, so he might consider himself white instead of mixed

This is probably why paramount hasnt come out and said what his race is.

The fact that Racebending.com hasn't addressed this issue tells me they either don't like it, or are preparing a vital blow against the pro-caster defenses. Consider their headline in option A, "Lead in Last Airbender film is not as white as we've been saying he is." Now a good majority of the stuff they've been saying about this film is mute. I'm serious, this could put a big hole in their anti-Airbender movement. Not the anti-Hollywood movement though.

I would have to disagree with that one, because the argument the racebenders are advocating so passionatley is that Hollywood refuses to give Asian's lead roles in high-budget movies. If Noah Ringer is asian, then that argument falls by the wayside.

Well, a bunch of people here in the states, are hardly 100% of anything so what was their point? Anyway if Noah is mixed he's mixed. If he's not he's not it's as simple as that. I'm far more concerned if the boy can act so we'll see. I agree with other posters though he has a good personality and seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

I think it's amusing when pro-casters seem to think that the racebending movement's official opposition is the pro-cast crowd, that they exist only to attempt to "prove wrong" those who are excited for the movie. The racebending movement is a criticism of Hollywood, not of those who criticize people who criticize Hollywood. Your perception of the strength of their slogans is not really no.1 on their list of priorities.
