Hakoda and Kya Casting Predictions

The more I think about it, the more I LOVE the idea of Johnny Depp. He's a phenomenal character actor so Hakoda would be a no-brainer for him. High profile actors make people want to see a movie even more, so if Depp was cast, it's one more factor to ensure success of the sequels.

Don't forget that the movie is focused on the sets and ad campaign, not actors.

What about Dev Patel? Slumdog Millionaire won eight Oscars?

I think Liam Neeson and Gary Oldman are both great ideas, but the trend for this movie seems to be to pick lesser known actors so I don't think that's likely.

While I do agree that he is a great actor (he's one of my favorites) he isn't that well known outside of his native New Zealand.

And with Dev well not everyone saw Slumdog (great film though).

I have to disagree.
Probably because I am not a Twilight fan,
but, I haven't heard of Rathbone until TLA.
Dev Patel was in an Academy Award winning movie,
and Shaun Toub help build the Iron Man suit.
Cliff Curtis and Aasif Mandvi are well known from television.

This can't work. Kanna left NWT. How can her son be from NWT? Unless Pakku is his father.

How? It is Gran Gran who was born in NWT (were people have European appearance). Hakoda isn't her son, so he probably lived all his life in SWT were everybody is Inuit.

NWT should be Inuit and SWT should have been white.
Gran Gran married and had Hakoda with someone from the SWT.
Hakoda married and had Sokka/Katara with Kya, who was born and raised in SWT.
Gran Gran must have some strong genes to have her grandkids look like they are from NWT.
