they didn't stray too far from the show's actual Zuko/Daddy issues storyline and the agni ki. I get the feeling zuko's a bit older when this happens to him.

Ew yeah. I don't mind it much, I stil pronounce is Kai in my head, it's just that I hope they don't change is to key in the series...

yeah I noticed that too, I really like the word pronounced kai better, but its not like we would find it weird if it was ALWAYS pronounce agni key.

I didn't realise that the adaptation came out before the film, I think I'd rather see the film first to avoid the spoilers, despite the massive temptation to read it and find out what happens.
