Yeah Voulster this movie is real. Dan Akroyd is portraying Yogi and Justin Timberlake is portraying Boo Boo. (I know that last part may seem like I'm joking but I'm not)

Alvin and the chipmunks plot wise is really bad..
especially 2nd one.. of course it's appealing to younger audience and probably so will Yogi bear be..
but plot wise it will be nothing more than a DVD movie you can rent or buy and watch it at home..
nothing big screen worth!
There are no reason to make these movies.. only to cash in some money!
nothing great generally, fun and great for kids, but nothing more..
In movies like these there is just nothing that stands out.. movies are flat and nothing interesting for all audiances..
as I said it's appealing for kids.. and nothing more..
If you have a kid or a younger brother.. you'll take him to it he will love it, but no reason to see it by yourself..
same path the new "The Smurfs" movie is going..

but thoe shows are for kids so your saying it shouldn't be big screen because it isn't for adults? lets take down harry potter it's a kids series and ninja turtles and toy story, star wars, pirates of the carribean you see what i mean? it's a kids movie ok it doesn't have to be oscar worthy if kids like them kids like them avatars a kids show that appeals to adult's that's the thing the shows aren't great to begin with just really nostalgic so let the new kid swatch the film's and be happy with they're hour or two it's dumb fun.

but that's the point.. from beginning I was talking about the movie being BS itself, but then you brought in kids.. I wasn't even talking about the kids I was talking about the movie being BS! imo.. and btw kids like everything at their age they love goofy jokes and talking animals with no reason..
so overall IN MY OPINION!, movie itself is going to be bullshit, but kids will like it..

They are probably also going for the nostalgia vote also. It seems like alot of the movies and TV shows out now rely really heavily on nostalgia to sell it to the parents while they focus on appealing to kids as well. I am not saying this is wrong, just really common :| . I hope it surprises me but honestly Yogi Bear was never my favorite cartoon character. Maybe they will make a Fraggle Rock movie next, that would be interesting!
