One of my favorite parts was when they bowed towards Aang at the end. His face was perfect, it showed him accepting the role of the Avatar but showed the weight that was building on his shoulders, like he couldn't outrun his destiny.

The only part that I thought was really entertaining was the Blue Spirit freeing Aang. Other than that, nothing to write home about. I'm glad I only payed $6 for matinée. Shamylan should be ashamed of himself putting this out. I love the series mainly because the characters were entertaining and grew throughout the show. The movie displayed the characters as bland. Sokka, excuse me "Soaka", should be talkative and comedic; instead, he barely speaks and complains about getting sprayed with water every once in a while. Katara is meant to be strong and passionate. It was her who should have rallied those earthbenders, not Aang, excuse me again "Ong". She was too timid, even when she became a water-bending master. Aang, was way too depressed for his character. Yes, there are points where he should be struggling with being Avatar and such, but he's meant to be childish and uplifting a good amount of the time. Airo, pardon for the last time "Ee-ro", i felt was the character who was displayed the best. Patel as Zuko also did a decent job but was still lacking the fierce rage somewhat of the character; and it didn't really look like there was a burn on his face representative of getting shot with a fireball at point blank range. Mandvi, though very funny on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, made a disappointing Jao.

Now, I can understand changes to the story being made to fit a season of episodes into 1 film, but I would have gladly sat an extra 30min if they could have put Boomy and Suki in. I don't understand why Yue's father was dead either; there was no need for that. I don't really care much about the race issue. (How many child Inuit child actors do you know of?) I would've like to see Zuko fight Jao, because it would be cool and show that Zuko was a decent human being by trying to save Jao from death by the Aang/Ocean Spirit combo (which I was also disappointed was left out). There was no mention of the Avatar State, which is a key element of the story seeing as how its the only way Aang could defeat the Fire Lord. Finally, the bending motions were really over-embellished. It took them like 20 different motions dancing around to lift a water ball out of the ocean. Overall, I agree with what most critics are saying about this "Sham" of a movie. Paramount may want to consider pulling a Harry Potter and getting a new director for the sequels, if there will be any after this.

I forgot to put I liked that part too. I also just liked how the bowing represented acceptance in the film.

I don't really remember the line, but it was the scene when Aang first announced himself as the Avatar to the world in the Earth Kingdom, and the gang got surrounded by Fire Nation soldiers. Sokka said something like "Everyone who is able to help can help now."

Everyone in the movie theater was laughing when he said that lol :lol:

I guess you can say I loved all of Zuko's parts and the flashbacks. :) I need to re-watch the movie again to elaborate and specify what my other fave parts are.

Zuko = AWESOMENESS! :mrgreen:

What can I say? I love the guy! Whether he's Zuko in the TV series or the live action Zuko, I think he's awesome either way. ;)

And oh, I forgot to mention. Another part I liked were...

...the parts Azula were in! I do HOPE they make a sequel!

I found this recently! It's basically all that really happens in the movie. it's pretty dead on actually.
