As FirelordSylar explained to me.. actually there is nothing to explain just do the math..
Korra is about 16..
Aang was 13
it's set 70 years after TLA and Korra is born when Aang dies
Aang dies about at 67 that means 54 years since TLA events so Korra is born and now she is about 16 +/-
54+16 = 70..

I'm not saying she's 16 she may be for example 18, but the math doesn't change much anyway..

If she is 16, then Tenzin must be way older. It'd only make sense.

Idk if she's 16, but it's confirmed that she's teenager so about 16-18 I guess

who knows maybe Aang had a late child at 47 years and now Tenzin is about 20 47 isn't that old in Avatar world
