Original Characters please. I don't need to see everyones kids/grandkids as main characters. I mean Azula getting married and having children? Really guys? How on earth would Azula have children.

I can see a Kataang child. Thats fine. And I can see a Zuko child as the Firelord line needs to continue. But anything beyond that is just like "Hai Gais lets just put liek everyone's kids in the show! It'll be a kewl idea to see who got married!" No. Original Characters FTW.

It's the norm to have kids, though. Why would Sokka and Suki not? Granted there's a chance they won't but it's kind of odd to say that they shouldn't have kids when they're just... normal. And again, no one said anything about Azula getting married, but have you heard of prison rape? It's a good possibility. She could also recover from her mental sickness in the camp she was sent to and become normal. That's what I tend to imagine.

I don't want a lot of character offspring to because characters in Korra, I agree with AvatarIsEpicness. In fact, if Tenzin and Aang are the only A:tLA characters and character offspring, I will be happy. I don't think the current firelord will be relevant at all, tbqh. Not in this particular setting where all the nations are thrown in together. We don't even known if there are separate nations anymore.

I'm not saying that I want them to be in the show, just that I think it's silly to imagine the main couples without kids. They're couples, and with a couple usually comes a kid or two.

Well yeah, I agree, as main characters it would be really crazy. But to say that they can't have children because the fans don't want them as main characters? LOL. Yeah, I think they'll all have kids, they just won't play major (or even minor other than Tenzin and maybe Zuko's descendant) in ALoK.

I thought this thread (and subsection) was about LoK? So the only way main character offspring would be relevant is if they were characters. If the offspring aren't characters, then they might as well not exist.

Thanks Abs we have seen to been forced astray in this thread if this thread is still about the firelord in the times of Korra I would l would like to hear more speculation on Azula and her claim to the throne, I would think it would be almost impossible to keep argueably the most powerfull firebender locked up in a "Mental Hospital" and her calculated plans for revenge

My thoughts exactly. I mean, there's a big possibility there isn't even a firelord at this point. Considering Republic City is most likely a mixture of all nations, there couldn't be one ruler from a nation. Naturally people would see a problem with this. And if that's how RC is set up, whose to say the whole world didn't follow that lead.

If there is a firelord it could either be Zuko himself still, or it could be Zuko and Mai's son or daughter, but Zuko's grandchild is next in line and could be about Korra's age, maybe a little older.

As for Azula having kids... No. Even if she healed from her mental breakdown (I don't think she did) she'd basically be stuck with the reputation as the former firelord's (previously) insane daughter and the princess who did many atrocious things during the war. No one would marry her and I don't think anyone would rape her. So no.

Many people are saying that they want to see some of the original characters and not just their descendants. I agree, and I'm pretty sure Toph would be alive (it be cool if it turns out she taught Korra Earthbending). And as I said earlier, Zuko could be alive. So, I have faith that we'll see old characters as well as new ones

The Firelord will probably not be a major player in the mini series. I bet that they mention who the new Firelord is though. LOK should be interesting....
