and I think the girl that Aang was chasing was.. Toph?
That's the only other girl I know that Aang becomes good friends with in the series.
Hmm.

Yeah, that's confirmed to be Toph in The Blind Bandit. He recognizes her laugh from his vision in the swamp, and the flying boar in his vision leads them to investigate the Bae Fong family.

I always liked how that was her first introduction in the series. It's very surreal.

I watched this episode again last night(after a long time), and absolutely loved it. One of my top favorites. The suspense, creeps, mystery, thrill, humor, spirituality, connection to the planet and the blue spirit in the end. Awesome!.

After watching it I also noticed how much James Cameron stole from A:TLA. His 'inspiration' wasn't limited to stealing AVATAR title - so much from this episode alone was taken out. Even the waterbenders on boats had the same long ponytails(?), his blue aliens had.

atleast James made a movie worthy of AVATAR title.

same here!!

When Aang puts it together for us in "The Blind Bandit", I was like :o OH MY GOD THAT'S SO CRAZY.

it was like Toph was calling out to Aang (to get her out), and she just happened to be the perfect teacher Aang was looking for :D

IT WAS BEAUTIFUL LOL xD

Avatar The Last Airbender is the best Avatar. Even The Last Airbender by M.Night is better than James Cameron's Avatar.

The Swamp is a really cool episode. No one expects the swamp guys to waterbend. Its awesome. I like how the B story is split. The main thing about the swamp I like is it's guidance. The World is constantly reaching out to Aang. The music is cool too.

I disagree with that first bit, but to each their own.

As for the Swamp, I like it for the Swamp benders (lmao when I see them), and for Hue's enlightment.

JC's movie totally disgraced the word Avatar. Avatar is the physical embodiment of a deity or god, in The Last Airbender it is the spirit that gaurds and maintains the world. The CG was way better in M.Night's movie anyways. Same people did some of the graphics for both movies and The Last Airbender came out way, way better.

I like the swamp. Especially the swamp in the end when it smacks the screaming bird.
