Aang dies at around 50 biologically because some of his life's longevity was drained in the 100 years in the iceberg. Chronologically that makes him 150. Mike and Bryan confirmed that he dies at "50" because of this.

He dies from old age.

I don't think that's true. You don't tend to die of old age at 50. You have to be pretty old to die of old age. More likely he died of something else.

I thought his old age was earlier because of the iceberg thing :/

I think the whole thing about Bryke saying that he used up some of his time in the iceberg has more to do with the spiritual than the physical. Like at some point the spirits decided his time on... Avatar!Earth was up, and they yoinked him out of there. But physically he probably died of something specific, as most people do.

haaaa. that's funny.

Avatar Kyoshi was alot older than "150". Plus how could it be suspended animation AND use up his overall lifespan? By definition the creators talked out of both sides of their mouths.

She was 230. But she was also the oldest person ever, and a giant.

She was just bigger than average not a giant is size really.
The Hippo is closer to being a giant I think.
I'd bet that Aang dies from either a natural "disaster" or dies saving his friends. Or both.

Well I agree with what absinthe_spoons said. Maybe when they said Aang used up some of his Avatar time, it not be physically, but spiritually. Maybe the spirits decide when someone (at least an Avatar) dies. So physically, he could've gone on, but the spirit world had decided for him to kick the bucket.
