M.Night Shymalan will be at the New York Comic-Con !!!!

M Night Shyamalan is going to be appearing at New York ComicCon this year as a "media guest." About The Last Airbender, his bio it says:

His most recent film "The Last Airbender," was an adaptation of the Nickelodeon show and Shyamalan's first foray into family entertainment. The film found huge success both domestically and internationally and continues to be a popular film in theaters around the world.

At least you guys are happy and optimistic for a sequel. Over at KF they are all depressed from The Last Airbender and skeptical on a TLA2 :/

As I have posted elsewhere, this was announced back in September 21st (Tuesday) on MTV Splash Page:

"MTV Presents 'Unbreakable: Ten Years Later' With M. Night Shyamalan" will be held Sunday, October 10, at 12:45 PM in the IGN Theater.

Still, I have been thinking that this may be a RUSE, considering that on the same day as this announcement, TLA's actual worldwide gross for 9/19/2010 was known to be $290,604,456. A week prior, the actual worldwide gross for 9/12/2010 was known to be $281,950,811. I mean, after 10 years, how many people are really interested to know more about Unbreakable? MTV splashpage did report back in September 2nd that "Unbreakable 2" story was repurposed for the third movie for Night Chronicles. It could be related to that.

If it IS about "Unbreakable" AND we do happen to get a Q&A slot for "The Last Airbender", PLEASE DO NOT ASK HIM WHEN THE SEQUEL WILL BE GREENLIT. Rick Marshall of MTV already asked M.Night - he does not know. It is like asking "Are we there yet?! Are we there yet?!!" If anybody ask that question, take the mike from the guy and beat the CRAP OUT OF HIM!!! Save the Q&A slot for the more important questions like can Paramount release an extended edition of the movie?

But granted dont keep asking "When will The Last Airbender 2 Be Grenn-Lighted?" but instead ask "Is there any recent news pertaining to The Last Airbender sequel?" that sounds more better. Because you will get middle management BS from M.Night, something to console the masses but ultimately does not give us any useful information. Paramount makes the decision on the sequel, not him. If he knows of any news about the sequel, you don't have ask him first, he will tell you. Then again, this America, it may not make you feel any better but you can go ahead and ask...

Also, you may not want to ask him anything that requires him to defend Paramount, because he will. He might even make it sound like it is all his idea.

You sorta took that out of context but ok. Im agreeing with you somewhat. Yes we shouldnt keep asking but really thats what a Convention is for. For good ness sake at the SDCC a fan was at the Marvel Panel and instead of asking a question he said "Kevin Feige [Marvel CEO] your stupid for firing Ed Norton as Bruce Banner" instead of asking a legitimate question. But this, this is a legitimate question to be asking at this time.
