You shouldn't be okay with that.

As the video pointed out: The creators of the show made sure there was a significance to the Kyoshi Warriors in the 1st Season.
Sokka meeting Suki foreshadows them getting together in the next season. Without their meeting in Season-1, Suki in the next season would've been considered a deus-ex-machina.
Shyamalan knew this, so the [made up] excuse he made about cutting them from the movie is invalid.
Haven't you read the graphic novel based on the movie? The book makes it clear that Sokka's interaction with Suki is supposed to be a hint of a possible romance, which we know is supposed to happen in the next movie.
Demand the Extended Edition, or the Trilogy is doomed.

lol, sorry....?
I don't think sokka should meet to many girls in the 1st movie *shrugs* and they could have come off as random in the movie. He already had a romance, it was cute <3

uh-huh, well, I have no reason to believe he lied sooo.... sorry, I'm gonna take the director over some one I've never met. You might be correct, but I don't think he gleefuly cut out something he apparently loved and worked so hard on.
And yes actually I did read the graphic novel : )
