Yahoo! Movies just debuted two, that's right, two beautiful new posters for The Last Airbender! Click on the images below to enlarge.

In other news, Frank Marshall announced that the Super Bowl TV spot and the next trailer have been locked. The trailer will feature all the main characters and will debut with Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief on February 12th.

I must say, Noah and Dev look spot on as the characters in these pics! So much for the people who said that they looked nothing like the characters and pull this off!

I can't wait till Super Bowl! Hopefully the 30 secs will be epic! And I'm definitely going to see that Lightning Thief Movie now lol! smile

The depiction of Azula is one of the most important things in my book........because it's one of the few characters from the series that if the actress cannot evoke a dead on Azula in her acting, the deadly precise Firenation Princess we all despise yet love(to an extent) will come off as a bitchy teen that audiences wont respond to. I can't even come up with the words that correctly characterize the feeling she brings to people......someone please agree w/ me tongue

Also, the closest similarities of another cinematic female villian I can think of is Tilda Swinton's White Witch portrayal in the 1st narnia movie. Her laughter at basic emotions and swift battle moves in the climax basically translate to slighty less of what Azula should be like. IDK rant over

I think the artist who made those posters used smoke photos or something for the airbending effects. I really doubt it's taken from the movie itself.

Oh well, shouldn't judge the movie by the um posters? lol tongue

Azula will make or break the second movie for me. Her character is 95% of the reason why I'm in love with Avatar. The other 5% is probably crack.

I'd like to see a Katara poster done in the same style. Toph, too... I know she doesn't appear in the first movie, but I'd still like to see all four bending styles represented in this manner.

i like how the sun is shining on Aang from the top... he faces the north (water tribe) and he himself is in the south (air temple).. the sun is rising from Aang's right .. and Zuko looks towards the South (for Aang) with a partition of fire between him and the sun... the sun is setting on Zuko's left..
