Come on, Avatar is supposed to be about avatars, avatar state, bending, spirits, adventure, history of the 4 nations, mystical creatures and some other unique concepts. All this series is going towards is love, pro bending tournament and city life and nothing else, its getting far too cliche in other word. It is more like the real world that we are living instead of the fantasy world of the 4 kingdoms and the Avatar .
Episode 4 and 5 were nothing but a waste of time. They better make it up with the upcoming episodes or else the Legend of Korra is going to be "The Legend of Failure".

Does anyone else on here not like mako?
Does anyone not realize how despicable he is? The whole whole 'I can't decide who I really like' was incredibly similar to Bella Swan in Twilight- who couldn't decide whether she liked Jacob or Edward. I understand confusion, but let's face it, Mako is what I'd call cheating material and I feel sorry for both Asami and Korra. It irks me to no end that fans are blaming Asami for getting in the way when it's really Mako who is the problem. Guys and gals need to realize that Asami does not even know that Korra likes Mako. Honestly? Blaming the woman for a guy who cannot make up his mind is unfair. In fact, when did Mako even like Korra to begin with? It's like the whole thing came out of nowhere. And the lesson I am getting from episode 5 makes me uncomfortable...so, in other words, if you confess to a guy he'll break up with his girlfriend for you?Wow, so in other words, if a guy likes a girl, he shouldn't confess his feelings to her and instead, stick to fooling the woman he's with until the girl he really likes confesses. That's pretty disgusting.After watching this episode, I'd much rather Korra end up with ANYONE ELSE aside from Mako.

@Gale I don't like Mako either, i'm just not into guys, nuff said. Now Asami, I don't know the %percentage of people blaming her, but it looks like she was created in this show to be hated by the fans, usually shippers. And also plot-moving reasons too (Future Industries tie). It's a plot device (cliche) to make you want to ship the main character with the main love interest, and fan girls HATE it when the popular pretty girl gets the main character's guy. Though this is Avatar, so it might might might...be in a different turn or twist.

Wow, it seems as though everyone is getting annoyed with LOK or impatient. Guys, hold on. Don't be too quick to judge. We're only on episode five...FIVE. Let things unravel before you start hating on it.

About the whole Mako thing the way he acts is actually common in real life. People do this all the time. The point of the show is to make it realistic to how people of their age would really act. "When did Mako even like Korra?" You need to realize that not all guys confess and show their love for a girl. A guy could have the biggest crush on a girl and ignore her completely. There are guys out there like that, actually, a lot of them. Maybe he tried to shake off his feelings by getting with Asami, but soon realized it was no use.

It might just be episode 5 . But this is not three 20 + episode seasons long. The need to move past probending and petty issues like love and get to the core of korra. Lol Idk what that means. Oh well

Normal, but yeah, some people need to calm the chackra flow again, there's a good sense that of course, the main character will get the love interest, popular pretty girl probably not, we've seen in other stories where the protagonist who fights or hates guts of the opposing gender would likely end up with that person.

Besides I'im gay and I've always liked guys. Anyways Korra is not that good of a show anyways.

Does anyone know which episode that Dante Basco (voice of Zuko) said that he will be voiced in? I have a feeling that Dante will voice as someone from Zuko's family, maybe a grandson. OMG what if there is a Zuko's grandson that becomes love interest for Korra!?!?!?! That would totally redeem Zutara fans and i will forgive Bryke forever!

I've seen Aang and his adventures from the start, and this is such a great way to bring the world of benders back, and fresh. I'm just as in love with Korra as I was with the very beginning (Last Air-bender series) Every weekend I get excited for a new episode of Korra and then I'm disappointed (not from the show-its just amazing) but because I have to wait an ENTIRE week again to see more. This show can never be anything but joy, laughs, and pure anger from tension and events that JUST CANT HAPPEN, but we all love that right? I can recommend this show to anybody and I'd die right on the spot if they truly didn't like it, ITS IMPOSSIBLE. Okay, I'm rambling. So I'll leave you with saying... THE LEGEND OF KORRA IS AMAZING AND MY NEW REASON FOR LIVING!!

@logo Yes, there are many or some people speculating the tie between the equalist and Hiroshi Sato. Also, what im wondering is, if Sato has no tie to the Equalist, i wonder what would be their contribution to the story's plot. I cant wait to see Amon's machinery! There was these machinery plans on his wall on the very first episode, and i cant wait to see Bei Fong, Tenzin, and Korra-crew/Krew in battle!

The fact that Amon has machinery plans makes me even more certain Hiroshi and Amon are working together. How will Amon make those machines? He's going to need resources, most likely resources that Mr. Sato has. If they're not working together at this moment, I feel they will in the near future.

I am getting extremely suspicious of Sato and Asami. They were clearly shown before the bending match and then nothing. We never see them again. As a writer, I can assert this can mean so many things or MAYBE nothing. We are not shown what happens to these important characters; thus, something crazy and unexpected could have happened with them, and the creators do not want us to know about it yet. Suspicions are indeed refluxing.

Also, I love all the Bryke nods to fans. The Cabbage Corp, the three cosplayer kids in the stands at the match, Jenora asking about Zuko's mom but not getting her answer, and I think there was another cute thing in there, but I can't remember.

And yeah, that fight was stellar! Some of Korra's firebending moves were incredible, and Bei Fong is a serious boss! x-D Great episode.

I agree, Sato's company afterall is called "Future Industries". It makes me think of machines and robotics pretty much. Anyone seen that rough animation online of Bei Fong fighting a grapple claw and earthbending awesomeness from the ground? Also this use of machinery reminds me of the first avatar the last airbender video game on the ps2, which had a similar plot of an antibending revolution by using machines.

@chakramaster You are not the only first one to find out. These guys arent just finding it out right now they just wanna talk about it. Thats what this section is for! :) Yes u have credit, but so do others too. The internet is a big world u know. You cant take all the credit for yourself- great minds think alike, and can sometimes come up with a certain idea at the same period. Some even found out about Sato when his first bio came out before the showed aired (hiroshi sato bio released in interview)
