UPDATE (4/4/12): The first two episodes have now been released for free in HD via iTunes!
The first two episodes of The Legend of Korra have debuted online via Korra Nation! The series won't make it's television debut until April 14th, but Korra Nation announced the other week that if they got 100k likes on Facebook, the premiere would debut online early. And so it has!
The first two chapters, Welcome to Republic City, and A Leaf in the Wind were combined into double-length premiere episode, and it is absolutely spectacular! I believe the new series exceeded expectations -- which were high. It has lovable characters, a superb premise, great action, spectacular music, and a wonderful sense of humor -- all while being a bit more mature than the original series.
If you haven't had the chance to see the premiere yet, I recommend dropping what you're doing and head over to iTunes right now to check it out!

@ProbenderChamp We would find out through "The Promise" what happened to Zuko's mom? I'm not sure whether they said they would address it there. Most likely not. If anything, I think they would address it in the actual series. At least I hope so.

@Waterbender85 I don't see how Amon could have any connection with Jet, taking into account that Jet died during the series. It's not like he could have gotten married and had a child etc. Unless, you're thinking they had a connection in a different way?

maybe amon used to bend but he is bad so aang took his bending away and after that he became mad and decided to take his anger out on the benders by creating the group of equalists...also i think that he studied really hard to learn energy-bending.....that's just my other guess....
In case you missed it online, go to iTunes and look up "Korra". They have the first two episodes free. I don't know for how long. The Track Team mentioned it in both of their tumblrs.
I think Amon is really the trollface guy underneath just look at the guy's eyes! Hmmmmmm, someone should cosplay Amon with a trollface on, lolz

Has anyone else noticed that older Aang has a beard and no mustache, quite the style.
Let me explain. In the intro it shows 4 benders, much like the intro to the show Avatar. But this time it appears to be all Avatars. First Avatar Kyoshi, then Avatar Roku, then an airbener, then Avatar Korra. If the order is right, than the airbender is Avatar Aang. And if you look closely he has a beard with no mustache O.O

Yeah, Aang looks like Mike. Notice he's always drawing himself with an arrow on his head. I know I've seen him with the facial hair style before. It's so him. The 'stachless short-trimmed beard. /nod. Totally a Mike look. I thought it was quite becoming on Aang. ^_^

if you watch the first two episodes it shows the statue of Aang with no beard, but his son Tenzin has one just like that in the show.... so i do believe that that airbender is not Aang but rather his son Tenzin

1st: Everyone here should have read the Promise Part 1 2nd: Suki is a very good friend to Zuko, I mean you worry about people that you traveled with and also the king that you are protecting... I dont think both of them would let each other bring at least one bit of romantic atmosphere because of their past. 3rd: I think WANG FIRE would beat the hell out of Zuko if anything happened...

It was beautiful. Even though I've already seen it like 10 times, nothing beats seeing it on on TV. And looking at the sneak peak for next week I think it's pretty safe to say that Amon is an energy bender or has some sort of ability to manipulate people's bending.

I agree 26 episodes just doesn't feel enough. I know its not easy making an episode but I want the series to be long enough for it to be known. Look at Samurai Jack and ATLA they had at least 50 episodes! The more episodes the more popular the show is. But don't worry. If enough fans ask for more episodes I asure you that the directors will be able to develop more episodes if they get enough time. Of course no likes a rushed episode.

i dont mind if its a miniseries, but yes i would like more episodes.
something that might be really cool, is if they choose to make a movie, animated of course after the show, of maybe an older korra with a new story, and when i say older i mean like mid twenties or something like that.
