I have to work Saturday mornings! I'm just going to have to show my support online, watch on Nick.com, and hope what support I'm able to do adds to the numbers. I will definitely be buying the DVD collection. And of course, this garnered the most support of any Nick show in years. All the other animation they have sucks. Korra actually required talented artists to draw beautiful and thoughtful work. Quality. That gets numbers. Korra's got it. ATLA had it. (Still does, but of course, that show's over.)
Love the first two episodes. But what about The Last Airbender 2? I'm just anxious to see the teaser trailer for it.

I don't think they're going to do it. NIckelodeon is really stupid if they let Night do that again. What a waste of money. I just Googled the making of a second movie, and any information about it is pretty old. He's working on a different movie right that's scheduled for release in 2013. I'd imagine Noah Ringer and the other actors will be too grown up to reprise their roles by the time Night can get back to TLA. And Nickelodeon really shouldn't be so stupid as to throw so much money away again. No one in the US would go see it in theaters. The only notable money it'd gross would be in a few other countries. Supposedly, they liked TLA in Japan.

Just sit back, relax, and watch the number of viewers and ratings stay high up for the next few years!

"Ranking as the network's most-watched animated series premiere in over three years..."
So I looked into this and the series that beat Korra's number was The Penguins of Madagascar in March 2009 (though the first episode aired in Nov 2008, they called that a 'sneak peak' and called the second episode the 'premiere'), and it got 6.1 million viewers, but it premiered immediately after the Kid's Choice Awards which had 7.7 million viewers. Korra grew on its lead-in, which was Spongebob, which always draws tons of viewers.

Did they air the first two episodes last Saturday or just the first one? I want to know how far behind I'll be getting since I don't have cable.

This is great news and hope that this will make the studio do the sequel to the Last Airbender movie. Yes I support the film and contrary to what people think it was the studio who mess up big time. They force M. Night to cut film to save $ for the 3D convertion. Hopefully Nick would stop seeing this show as just another cartoon and can make the sequel Epic. IF not then we are dooomed and the sequels could be shattered. Please Support the extended cut of TLA movie.

M Night watched , and liked it he is now thinking about make a movie of it, first he is thinking for a new name, because "Korra" does not sound good, he says

Dude, I hope you're kidding. The last thing M. Night Whatever needs to do is ruin my new reason for living!

Comment by: Ozaijj @ 11:12 am April 20, 2012
Zuko is alive!!!!!!!!!!
well at least thats what I understand from the Republic City game... "he's travelling the world as an ambassador" and his daughter is the lider of the fire nation.
Old Zuko may look very funny...
Comment by: 20pak @ 12:03 pm April 20, 2012
chackramaster learn to post once
Comment by: tbird @ 12:20 pm April 20, 2012
@Ozaijj...I know!!! HOLY FREAKIN COW I WONDER IF HE'S GONNA MAKE AN APPEARANCE IN THE SHOW?!?! I had a feeling someone else from the old series MUST be alive too. I'm so excited. I want to know who his daughter is!
Comment by: logo @ 12:45 pm April 20, 2012
Female Firelord? Hell yeah!
@tbird I'm sure she'll make an appearance, considering the fact that she plays a significant role, being firelord and all. Along with the rest of Aang's kids and maybe even Sokka's etc. Can't wait till the new episode comes out tomorrow!
Comment by: chackramaster @ 11:30 pm April 20, 2012
@ 20pak sorry dude i just really hate trolls.
i want to see this old zuko, thats going to look weird and I wonder who toph had a kid with? i hope itz sokka, if anyone can find out who it is i will give up meat and sarcasm? lol.
Comment by: biruleile @ 05:48 am April 21, 2012
@Jojo
sure I was kidding
Comment by: Jojo @ 06:48 am April 21, 2012
@biruleile
I sort of figured you were
But seriously, did anyone watch episode three yet? Because it just finished and *SPOILERS* Amon did perform some sort of energybending
But...
No one's eyes were glowing, and he didn't energybend the way Aang did to Ozai. I'm guessing that Amon is doing something different, like chi-blocking their brain or chackras, and just saying it's energybending.
Any ideas?
Comment by: ziggy @ 07:08 am April 21, 2012
@Jojo I agree, I think if it was energy bending there would've been some sort of powerful light, like Aang used with Ozai. I mean you're taking someone's bending away, it would seem like it would be more flashy and stuff. Then again, maybe things changed over the years? I just don't don't think it's possible for anyone to energy bend except the Avatar, so maybe he's just blocking something within instead of literally taking it away.
Comment by: Meelo @ 07:13 am April 21, 2012
Agree with you Jojo
is blocking something in the back of the neck!! but that episode was cool!
But now we have 2 unanswered questions:
1- what happened with Zuko's mom? 2- Why, in God's Earth!! a spirit will let a mere Non-bender to "un-bend" people???
like I said before we're dealing with some kind of "Spirit revenge" the revolution and the equalist are just the top of the iceberg.
Comment by: Jojo @ 07:17 am April 21, 2012
@ziggy
Exactly. I smell lies. I mean, did you hear his little story about being a poor farmer and getting his faced burned off?
These equalists are really similar to the Bolsheviks!
Or at least, I think so
Comment by: Meelo @ 07:23 am April 21, 2012
Amon = "an innocent victim of circumstances"... Yeah right...
Comment by: meelo @ 07:28 am April 21, 2012
Maybe... just MAYBE... Amon could be Mako and Bolin's Father... or related...
Mako and Amon talk about this "firebender" who appears and do bad things to their families... who could it be?
Comment by: Legit @ 08:33 am April 21, 2012
@meelo Uh, Mako clearly states that his parents were taken out in front of him...so no Amon is not his father. There are zero chances.
Comment by: Moe @ 09:44 am April 21, 2012
I thought the statue of Zuko looks pretty awesome.
*SPOILER* I read on the website from the tour they have of republic city that Zuko is still alive but old and his daughter is the new leader of the fire nation. I can't wait to see Zuko!
Comment by: ICU... @ 10:36 am April 21, 2012
Hm, what if somehow Amon found Won Shi Ton's ( probably spelled wrong) library and found out info on lion turtles and energybending. I know it's a bit far fetched, but it's just a thought.
Comment by: Meelo @ 10:36 am April 21, 2012
@ Legit
True. I only see the episode once.
@Moe
I want to see him too!!!!
Comment by: Shaymin @ 10:50 am April 21, 2012
Spoiler Alert!
Amon is able to EnergyBend! Well, sort of. There's one thing that the Lion Turtle said that I think explained what he did. "In the era before the Avatar, we bend not the elements, but the energy within ourselves" This explains why Amon placed their hands on their foreheads the way he did! D:
I don't know about any of you, but that episode got me very nervous. Legend of Korra might just top Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Comment by: Moe @ 11:26 am April 21, 2012
I'm loving the show and all but I'm still having a hard time getting used to futuristic things. Like motorcycles they were driving in the latest episode. I hope we will be able to visit old places were Aang and the gang used to be.
Comment by: biruleibe @ 02:28 pm April 21, 2012
I follow Mello, this revolution plan seems to be only a first step of something frighteningly big btw, I love the mood of color of this episode . . . spoilers . . . my little guess about comparing Amon´s modest energybending show with Aang/Ozai fox-searchlight-fx is because of amount of energy involved, its was full avatar energy against enhanced firelord energy, this time there was not such energy involved RIGHT IT DOWN: Amon will take Korra´s bending down
Comment by: biruleibe @ 05:17 pm April 21, 2012
because of my dyslexia I've wrote "right it down" where I meant "write it down" (sorry by the caps too)
Comment by: MetalbendingLegend @ 10:13 pm April 21, 2012
Yey! I have already watched episode 3, and i guess...
Amon isn't an energybender at all. Maybe he is an advanced Chi Blocker. just a guess.
Comment by: Instrimental guru of surprises @ 02:38 pm April 22, 2012
Heck yeah! The avatar is back baby! Ha ha ha, I'm so glad the premiere did so well. Now i know for sure that there is no way ever of this show getting canceled. I'm surprised that zuko is still alive, it's cool that his daughter is the fire lord.
Comment by: SnowWolf @ 04:18 pm April 22, 2012
@MetalbendingLegend I think he's a Chi Blocker too but where did he learn that from? Cauz so far it's said that Ty Lee was the only one to do that.
Comment by: Unknown (formerly known as Mr.X) @ 05:22 pm April 22, 2012
Yo guys I saw episode 3 of LOK and is Amon an energybender? When Aang took away Ozai's firebending you saw Ozai's red energy but you also saw Aang's blue energy. When Amon "Energy bended" Lightning Bolt Zolt, there were no energy color. So Amon did some fake energbending or was it real? Im confused . Can someone help me please?
Comment by: LOK lover @ 06:48 pm April 22, 2012
saw episode 3 and it was epic. This show will meet the expectation of all A:TLA fans. Amon is freaking crazy. chi blockers are badass. korra, mako, and bolin are great. that is all i wanted to say
Comment by: chackramaster @ 07:43 pm April 22, 2012
Amon is ... Theres just no words to describe his awesomeness. Him and his chi blockers are going to kick some avatar butt.
Comment by: Avatar_Fan @ 08:49 pm April 22, 2012
woww!! is all i gotta say. The season is turning out to be amazingg!! has so far met all my expectations. On a side note, you guys probably may have seen this but aang as his older self with a beard is seen in the opening credits
Comment by: hatmansteve @ 09:06 pm April 22, 2012
$100 on Ko, the face stealer having to do with Amon's new ability. Think about it. Remember, u heard it from me.
Comment by: biruleibe @ 06:45 am April 23, 2012
why some much people are complaining about Amon fx-less demonstration?? it does not matter if he is a real energybending or some sort of mind-chakra-whatever bending, the result is the same: benders losts their power, although we dont know yet if is irreversible, once again I cant wait until I see he touching Korra forehead, sure there will be a lot of lighting effects
Comment by: ziggy @ 10:57 am April 23, 2012
@hatmansteve it would actually kind of make sense if Koh has something to do with it. I mean, he already hates the avatar since one of the past lives tried to kill him so, he could just be trying to get revenge.
Comment by: ziggy @ 10:59 am April 23, 2012
Another reason why I don't believe Amon can energy bend is because notice when Aang used energybending he had a hand on Ozai's forehead and chest. Amon only had and hand on their foreheads. So he may just be blocking a chuckra or something, not permanently taking it away.
Comment by: biruleibe @ 01:27 pm April 23, 2012
@SnowWolf at very end of ATLA Ty Lee join Kioshi warriors and start spreading her chi blocker techniques I dont have a proper "technique definition" for what Amon does, everyone can name it, but for me he seems very serious in his intentions, not that kind of vilain who plays jokes and bluffs just for fun
Comment by: biruleibe @ 02:55 pm April 23, 2012
spoilers . . . . at very end o 3rd episode, Amon says "ok let them go" so he is not in a hurry, so.. I bet we wont see much action in 4th ep maybe it will be a more dramatic one, maybe Korra will feel fragile and lost confidence to fulfill her destiny and start looking for some guidance, maybe she finally enter spirit world to talk to... you know who.
Question: Is there going to be a second or third season of Korra? I heard they were only doing one, but before each episode, it's titled "Book One: Air". So it looks like there might be room for a Book Two or Three. Then again, what would they be called? All Korra has to learn is Air, so if they continue, they couldn't name the books water or earth or fire... I would love for there to be multiple books to see where they can take this story, but I have no idea if there will. Until then, I'll just have to keep watching. It's a great series and I'm so happy the wait is finally over! I watched the premier and Episode 3 like 5 times each just to make sure I wasn't dreaming!
Comment by: Infinidy @ 11:53 am April 24, 2012
@Radi: They're doing two season for a total of 26 episodes.
