aren't they splitting the fourth book into two movies? If they are, then apart from *cough* copying Harry Potter *cough* selling out, that means that they have, including the one coming out on the 30th, three movies left, just like TLA. so they'll probably win all the awards at the MTV movie awards for the next three years. But that's okay, because while Twilight is winning at the biggest joke of an award show in history, TLA will be (hopefully) winning all the serious awards at the Oscars etc. which actually award deserving, quality movies.

Then again, Twilight seems to be spitting out another movie every six months (at the sacrifice of quality), so...

I don't think the day of black sun is gonna make it to the movie. That way there's no need for the library episode in movie 2 and that'll save time

@ben_dover that's such a major part though, the library and day of the black sun! Plus in the movie they talk about the library or at least it did in the novelization so that's kinda foreshadow right there! And if they show the library in the 2nd movie then they gotta show day of black sun

And also a lot of book 2 is looking for appa and he gets taken away at the library so if they don't have the library appa might not be getting lost or he maybe is lost another way, idk lots of possibilities

I would actually like to see Aang get struck with lighting but that means the movie would be rated PG-13 which would be fine with me. But then again they kind of have to add it because thats how book 2 ends and helps bridge it to book 3..( the awakening and so on).

Ya that much is true, BUT that's when Zuko has his finest moment and i would love to see him stand up to his dad and become the prince he was always meant to be. That scene was crucial. M. Night said the third movie was the hardest to figure out and i definitely see why. Let's hope the first movie does well enough for now.

I agree with ziggy, it's a huge turning point of Book 2, and it's where the Gaang finds out about the eclipse. Plus it's awesome, why wouldn't Night want to include it? (Well he didn't include the Katara/Pakku fight or Koh but nvm that.)

I guarantee you that the library episode will be in Movie 2 because of how many important things during that part. Appa gets captured and they learn of a point in time when they can attack the firenation. So I find it very doubtful that the library will not be in it.

As for Movie 3, I would be surprised if the movie does not open with the Day of Black Sun.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE the library episode and the day of black sun, but I'm just trying to be realistic. The day of black sun was a 1 hour event and sozins comet was a 2 hour event. So that's 3 hours of stuff to fit into one movie. Idk, I wouldn't be upset if they left out the day of black sun

I kinda agree with you, but I'm sure if they even put it in the movie they would shorten both the library episode and the day of black sun. I mean there are some stuff in those episodes that you could leave out and it would still make sense.

Honestly, I don't think anything in this movie or the movies to come can beat the awesomeness of show.

I guess they COULD put in the day of black sun, but I just don't want it to feel rushed. They DEFINATLY can get rid of the boiling rock

nah man that's a good episode they should show that in the movie.

It would be really difficult to get rid of any of the main plot points (Boiling Rock, Library, Lake Laogai, Day of Black Sun) because of the fact that they all tie together in some way and getting rid of one may cause a plot hole in another.

Not my view, just an observation!haha. I read a while back that Night talks about the Matrix. Can't mind what though.....i hope that never came from the creators cause even in the final episode of ATLA they have that whole Matrix scene where Smith puts his hand in Neo and takes over his body then doesnt succeed - Aang to Fire Lord Ozai - red/blue light. Even the music in that final episode has some similarities. i know its a kids show and you can totally rip stuff like that,

Then again , if the end of the potential 3rd LA film is going to be done exaclty as the cartoon, then folk'll be like, uh? isnt that what happened in the Matrix?

about your question before, it hasn't been confirmed that the third book will be split in two, but I do know that M. Night Shyamalan has expressed interest in expanding the franchise into four movies instead of three. whether that means splitting book 3 into two parts or just creating his own fourth "season" I don't know, but there is a possibility that there will be four movies.

Appa's lost days.....

As much as i like the Library episodes, if Night decides not to use it they can still lose Appa some other way!! Cause at the end of the day....he's not sticking 100% to the story anyway. Night knows (Or I hope he does) what's crucial in order to tell the story. If things need to get dropped cause they don't fit. Then I guess it will!

I wonder if the Koh scene will be in it in the end. It is only a few minutes in the tv show, maybe they re-shot it and stuck it in! I mean, that was pretty much the coolest thing in season 1. Proper tension! Chuck a couple of modelers/animators on the scene for a weeks to knock out a 3D koh. Here, you, Noah, stand expressionless in front of this blue screen. Done. Whats an extra few hundred thousands to add that in! Mon Night, pull it together.

I kind of agree. I didn't really like the episodes where he was missing all that much anyway (Tales of Ba Sing Se.... D:) and im sure they can probably work out something else with the Lake Laogai thing that is completely lost!Appa-free

I'm not saying the boiling rock was a bad episode, I'm saying that there's no need for it in the movie. I mean, what do we get from that episode? Sokka finds his pops & suki, and Mai & Ty Lee betray Azula. Solution? Don't have sokka's pops & suki go missing in the first place, and have Mai & Ty Lee betray azula some other way, problem solved!!

so, if Appa is not missing, why the Gaang would go to Ba Sing Se?
