The scene they showed was cool but considering the fact that I thought I was going to be a full 60 seconds of mostly new stuff made all of this WAY overhyped.

Especially since MTV movie awards are nothing more than a popularity contest directed at the female audience (considering Twilight movies and RomComs were nominated for everything).

If you HAVE to give Kristen Stewart an award at least give it for her performance in The Runaways where she actually did a good job. Also NEVER give Robert Pattenson the award, even Kenue Reeves can act circles around him.

Just hope that M. Night Shylamlan doesn't screw up the movie

My mom and sis are major twilight fans, they read the books a lot, so you can guess they are going to the premere. my sis was and still is sort of a TLA fan, but she likes twilight better. so im pretty much the only TLA fan in my house.

New Moon! Best Picture?!!!!! What is the world coming to. Wooden acting, stale dialogue, crappy melodramatic script make for horrible films. Have any of them gotten over 30% on rotten tomatoes. Only MTV could give a critically panned movie the Best Picture.

I'm in college, thank you. The cussing on that show was unnecessary. Please do not insult us by insinuating that we are naive.

A few things that popped into my head when thinking about tonight:

1) Not happy that this preview was at 44 minutes before the show during the pre-show. At least what I think is the best television spot (sadly, not the one with Sokka) was played- the one that will get the people interested in the film.

2) We have to remember something: most people are not following TLA as rabidly and closely as we are. This may be the first real extended clip people have seen. For that, the clip is probably enough to get someone intrigued to look for more....

3) As much as I want to see more, let's hold our horses a little bit- I want to be somewhat surprised at what I see in July!

4) "New Moon" is perhaps one of the worst films ever made. I don't hate Twilight per se- it is what it is. But "New Moon" is just a poorly made, poorly written, poorly acted, and just plain poor movie. Let's look at the bright side for us: We have a budget of $150 million and one of the best writer/directors in Hollywood- not to mention a top-notch source material. Take that!

5) @ ziggy: I totally agree. Two hours completely wasted in a hail of f-bombs.

I am still appalled at the awards. This my friends is why the Oscars still remain the top movie awards to date. Because these popularity contests hosted by MTV and The Peoples Choice Awards never really work.

I agree Spiderfan. The MTV awards are less about quality films and acting and more about which guy is the hottest with his shirt off and how much sexual innuendo we can shove into five minutes.

If these awards were more accurate, How to Train Your Dragon would have been nominated for about everything. Just throwing that out there.

Yeah, sadly I was a fan when the first twilight movie came out, and me and my two best friends promised each other that we'd go see all of the movies together. And one of them is still a fan of the series so she's dragging me and our other friend to it. But there's no way in hell that I'm going to see that until after opening week.

When we went to see New Moon, me and my other friend that hates twilight just ripped on the movie the whole time. It was really funny. Omg, Robert Pattinson is as ugly as sin, and Kristin Stewert can't act for shit.

Look, the MTV movie awards was definitely a one star event, but i'm gonna be honest and say that Aziz Ansari really was the highlight of my week. I think he's my new favorite person.

The 1st part was unlocked this weekend (Explore the Water Tribe) and i suspect that every weekend will be unlock every Nation till the big day comes.
