I think he looks a little young to be Haru but if he's an "earthbending boy" then it will probably be Haru. I thought that they would surely leave out Haru's and Teo's stories. Has this kid been in anything else?

He looks more like Teo to me, due to his age, but putting that kid in a wheelchair seems like a massive waste of talent. And if he's a character that's so significant that we should be able to guess then I think it must be Haru. Is there anyone else that it could be?

Peter brought up a good point. I wouldn't be surprised if Shyamalan brought in Teo and the Meachanist with Haru and Tyro. The two boys' stories are extremely related and so it would make sense. I still doubt it will be Teo, though.

I'm a little bit surprised that they have the potential to bring Haru in the movie (Him being one I thought would be cut.) But I'm guessing they have him to prevent their being a lack of earthbender characters (If he is suppose to play an earthbender as opposed to a non-bender) in the first movie.

Most likely his situation is going to be slightly small and mixed with events from other episodes which is most likely how the script is going to work out. Ex. They might help Haru rescue his dad by finding a group of freedom fighters to help them (With Jet) and Aang gets caught in the process letting the Blue Spirit rescue scene come in.
So I guess anything can happen.

Well... yeah. I was fairly curtain that Jet was most likely cut but I was just using that as a small example. I really have no idea what they are going to do with the story.

Personally, I think he's made up for the movie. A young boy is separated from his father when his village is attacked. He gives the gaang info when they arrive in town, and the avatar saves the day, reuniting the family. It would be an example of how the avatar helps restore balance.

Even if this isn't correct, I doubt that the earthbending son and father are from the series. Why not give them names if they represent relatively important secondary characters from the show?

This fil is BASED on the series. Which mean it can change some things and can modify several aspects.

Haru and/or Teo might be changed in age, aspect, or even in bending abilities..

Well I know it's an adaptation, i'm just hoping some things aren't switched. And i'm such a huge fan of Bumi that I just have to think it's him, hehehe.

I doubt it's Bumi. This kid looks calm and collected, which is exactly what young Bumi wasn't. I can't imagine Isaac going cross-eyed.

Are you serious? I've seen some incredibly level people play some real psycho's. Keanu Reeves. Very calm and collected person. Wish I could think of more..

But from what I've witnessed people like to play who they aren't. I could easily imagine this kid going cross eyed, buck toothed and with messy hair. Hehe.

I would think that out of all the males in Avatar Bumi would be one of the last ones to be played by this guy, seriously.

well i havent heard any info on Bumi and theres that rumor that the random casting lady said there's no Jet in the movie... i mean Jet is 100 times more important than Haru...I actually had faith in this crap...i feel so stupid now...

@ Winning: Not true, 444. The White Lotus is not mentioned or hinted at a single time in Book 1 other than the time that Iroh looses his lotus tile for Pai Sho in 109: The Waterbending Scroll. That doesn't even have an affect on Bumi. Bumi doesn't mention the white lotus a single time, nor does he have any indication of being a member at the time we see him in 105.

Out of all the minor characters in B1, Bumi is pretty high on the list, and I would be surprised if they cut him. But I still believe that this is Haru and/or Teo.

Still, taking Bumi out of B1 would not ruin the White Lotus at all, and even if they cut Bumi out of every single movie, it would not ruin the White Lotus because it still has other members that could be just as important OR MORE important than Bumi.

You don't give a very good defense for your statement, though, Winning. The White Lotus is composed of so many people(look for proof below) that it wouldn't be affected much at all without Bumi. Bumi isn't even high up on the list when it comes to ranking in the White Lotus. Iroh is the highest. IF YOUR STATEMENT IS TRUE, then if they cut Jeong Jeong it would be as if they were to do away with the whole "White Lotus." THAT is the exact same argument that you have brought to the table. For future warning, use logic and think hard before you belittle yourself.

Proof(see above): In 211(The Desert) Iroh and Zuko just find a guy in the middle of nowhere as a "secretary" or "security gaurd" for the White Lotus. If the chances of finding this member of the White Lotus in a dump out in the desert, then they are most likely spread out over the entire world every 15-20 miles. This means there has to be A LOT of members. On top of that, in Sozin's Comet "Old People Camp" as Bumi calls it has tons and tons of tents. I doubt that Bumi, Piandao, Jeong Jeong, Pakku, and Iroh need 20 tents. Therefore there must be more members.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Bumi himself, I just would rather him not be in this one. (of course, I don't want to see Haru either )

@ Nelson: I agree, Jet is a lot more important than Haru(maybe not a hundred times as important, but you know what I mean. ). I wish Jet would be in this movie, minus the romance. That's my only dilemma. I am kinda on the edge with Jet, though, because I know that if he IS in the movie there will be romance, but he has a very good story(even though it doesn't enhance the overall plot much). He is a great character, but overall I'm trying to decide if I would like him in the movie or not. I am leaning toward yes, but still there is a chance I can change my mind.

Of course it doesn't matter what I think. It's Shyamalan's call, and on top of that you heard NB on Jet.
