My guesses where this pictures 'take place':
The picture on the left is either the attack on the SAT 100 years ago (assuming that Night wrote Aang into that battle and it is still 100 years ago) or it's the second attack on the NAT, not sure which, but the markings on the floor and column are definate Air Nomad in origin.
The pillars Noaang is standing on in the middle picture reminds me of the air-ball arena outside the SAT, but the background looks like Fire Nation scafolding/rigging, so it might be a harbour.
When I first saw the right-most picture, I though Night was on the Pirate ship set, but looking again I saw the Fire Nation helmets in the background, so I'd guess that he's on a Fire Nation ship.

What does everyone else think?

i don't want to be critical since this picture probably wasn't taken during filming ... what worries me though is this article and Night 'grounding' the comic relief character

The second picture's background isn't part of the scene, it is the roof of the studio that they are filming in. That angle is not the one that they would use for filming.

I was actually refering to the stuff directly behind him, bottom right of the picture (in front of the green screen), I realize that the roof is that of the building won't be seen in the movie

I love these pics. And fot one thing, the first pic can't be the attack against northern air temple because it isn't located near any water, if you remember aang saying, it is located very far above the clouds. but seriuosly weres the trailer haha

Lol Maybe that's how Noaang concentrates. Who knows. maybe he was supposed to be fighting Zuko in that particular setting. I just see that look as one of deep concentration, but that's just me

I can understand your worry about "grounding " the characters but I think that M Night is referring to all the "fart jokes" and "toilet humor" that is customary to children's shows. I don't think he's taking ALL of the humor out COMPLETELY! XD

The trailer got pushed til February because ILM is still finishing shots. Probably gonna be with Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.

Just look at the design and detail of the temple in the first pic, and the lighting ... omg, M. Night, you have restored faith.

i cried when i saw this

awesome pictures! but i can't figure out when the first picture takes place, it kind of looks like the trailer with a bunch of fire nation soldiers attacking Aang. i just can't think of any time where that happens in the show. it kind of makes me fearful that they will change the whole iceberg thing. i can't see what else they could do though.

It could just be a promo picture, or a dream, or something though. the little fan boy within me is panicking though, someone please convince me otherwise.

with pleasure I can be that someone, remember the episode called "The Northern Air Temple", of course the FN soldiers never get in to the temple but is better this little detail change than "the whole iceberg thing" change, I hope youre not fearful now

Yeah, that rusting scaffolding is confusing. It suggests firenation ship, but then the pillars make me think of the SAT. And there wouldn't be any wood in a factory or FN ship
A harbour is a good idea, I can see how the two elements would fit together in that case. But then we just have to concede that it will be a new scene, and not from the show, so we don't know what is...

Don't worry about it, I probably could have been more specific in my op.
As for the it being a new scene, probably is. If not, then it is a modified scene; perhaps fighthing the pirates from The Waterbending Scroll or after escaping capture from either Zhao or Zuko (The Blue Spirit or The Avatar Returns respectively) .

Finally something on the movie came out it looks so awesome I can't wait for this movie

The first one looks like a dream of some sort. It makes me think of what it would look like if Aang were still alive 100 years before and was able to battle the Fire Nation when they arrived. If not a dream, then just an image in his head, possibly one he has when visiting the SAT?
