Well it looks like I'll be watching the MTV Movie Awards. That'll be a first...

I'd rather not see Momo until I watch the entire movie. I'd like some surprises.

I can't waiiiit! They're probably going to show the complete iceberg scene. I hope Aang is cheerful, because in this movie it seems like he's like a disturbed child.

Hehehe, I bet Momo and/or Appa might sneak into the exclusive new footage! They do hang out with the g'Aang, so there is a chance! If not, most definitely they'll show an awesome scene with the bending arts!!! And, possible pwning

Seriously, does MTV even show music anymore? That's what I get for being a kid of the 80's back before all the crap that's on there now. Any other kids of the 80's (or the 90s) here?

I doubt they will show momo. Im curious what momo looks like, but it would be cooler if they just showed us in the movie itself. Not knowing gives us more reason to go watch it :P

Man, i hope someone posts the new scene here because i really don't feel likewasting my time watching the MTV moive awards.

Face it- Tv show Aang was unrealistic. He awoke from an iceberg after being gone for 100 years to find everyone he ever knew and loved had been murdered all because he ran away when he could have stopped it (theoretically).

And he was cheerful about it?

I'm totally cool with a more serious Aang. It won't make general audiences go "wtf yeah right." Also, M Night said that he wouldnt be replacing any of the humor. Just taking out the slapstick. So I wouldnt count on a disturbed Aang. Just a realistic one. Good change Anyone notice he was grinning pretty wide in the trailer shots where he snaps his glider open on Zuko's ship?

Our Aang is still there Just dont expect penguin sledding. Plz.

I agree with Iliekmudkipz, Aang was pretty unrealistic. But hey, the writers thought they were writing for an all 7-9 year old audience, when they realized ppl of all ages loved the show they vamped it up. (Look at Aang's emotion in "The Awakening")
So I'm VERY excited to see the story through a more realistic looking glass.

Also excited for June 6th. Now I have to watch MTV awards, or just look it up on Youtube ;-)

@Jen: I was born in 1981, so I know what you're talking about. MTV has gone from Music Television to Mindless Television: hardly any music or music related shows. Just reality shows. YUCK!!!!!

Well, I lived the 80's for 2 years only ( haha), but in the 90's was my childhood up to eleven years old, by the end of that decade. But chyea I remember MTV back then, there more music related programs, more than today.

By the way, had anyone notice the White Lotus crest badge on Iroh's costume yet?

I kinda agree with Iliekmudkipz. But also keep in mind that the Avatar may be a representation of the Dalai Lama. :) HHDL lost his entire culture, but he still remains hopeful and optimistic, and he's got a good reason for it (look at interviews). It's kind of his way of moving on while also holding onto his people's culture and having hope and bringing hope. ^^

Anyways, I SO can't wait for this clip!!! :D It'll be so awesome!! Will you post it on here when it's over, NightBender? :)

I do agree. however I think the Night will play off of having your entire culture being lost, and then coming out happy in the 3rd film. This will be a large aspect of Aang's final coming to terms with what it means to have true wisdom. Being able to find the good in any situation--this will be one of his full circle moments when he ends up with Katara .

That being said, in the first movie it is appropriate for him to struggle with this, rather than be all happy all the time, IMO

@Jen '81 here too...MTV is no longer even an interest of mine. They have changed their programming to suit tweens and teens of today who crave drama and outlandish lifestyles...its just sad. "I want my MTV" used to mean something.

OH AND I JUST FINISHED READING THE ENTIRE Avatar the Art of the Animated Series!!!! It is very high quality!!! (its basically just like your shool standard textbook. After reading i truly understood the ambitious artistic undertaking the series had from the beginning. it takes you from Bryke's conception of the idea to the finale (little chapters for each episode) and other interesting stuff!!!!!!Oh and the pictures were just breathtaking. HIGHLY RECOMEND YOU GUYS!!!!!!
