The Wall Street Journal has posted a new interview with the creators of The Legend of Korra, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. In the interview, the creators shed some light the season finale, as well as the future of the show. Here's a preview:
WSJ:What should fans expect from the season finale?
DiMartino: They can definitely expect more awesome stories, and a few more surprises for sure.
Konietzko: We're really proud of the way the last two episodes came together - especially how the music came together. It's some of the best music that the composer, Jeremy Zuckerman, has ever done. Really emotional, and we're really excited to see how people respond to the end of this little story.
WSJ: Will the music from the show ever be released?
Konietzko: We would love to. It's something we've been pushing for for years, even back on "Avatar." Especially now with the music on "Korra" where Jeremy has been incorporating a lot more live instrumentation, string performers, Chinese instrumental specialists and stuff like that. We would love to. It's a big goal of ours for sure.

The Legend of Korra season finale is this weekend - sad it's so soon, I know. But fret not, my friend, Mike and Bryan have something special planned to keep the happiness going a little longer! They have announced a TV event they're calling Korra: Making of a Legend.
After the finale, The Legend of Korra fans can learn more about the mythology and creation of this franchise by tuning into the Nicktoons' "Korra: Making of a Legend" special event from July 9 - July 20 during which all twelve episodes from Season 1, Book 1 will air weekdays at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT). Each "creators cut" episode offers insight into the creation of the stunning imagery, mythology and storyline where series creators and executive producers, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, provide commentary.
So it looks like we have some awesome insight into the series to look forward to after the Korra season finale this Saturday! Check your local listings for Nicktoons and air times.

The Legend of Korra reached its season one midpoint this weekend, and what a season it has been so far! Many have called the latest episode, Chapter 6: And the Winner is..., the best episode of the series. The show as been earning high ratings and critical acclaim across the board, and it has been pleasing old and new fans alike. Each episode is packed with action, humor, character development, and beautiful animation. Book 1: Air has been a great success so far!
A little less excitingly, it has been announced that Korra will take a short break on May 26th, Memorial Day weekend, and will be airing a repeat episode instead of a new one. It will likely return with a fresh episode the following weekend. Rumors were that this coming weekend would bring us two episodes back-to-back, but those rumors have been squashed. Chapter 7: The Aftermath airs on May 19th.
