UGO brought us the exclusive 30 second Super Bowl Spot for The Last Airbender! There's lots of bending and fighting, as well as some Avatar State action. Also, keep your eyes peeled for Appa! Check it out:

it looks really nice, but i dont like the Firebenders' pose at the starting of 0:14, and at the Waterbending scene where it looks like the water is squirting out like a hose rather than flowing in mid air, but oh well

@joshcamacho At 0:08, when Noah's at the Northern Water Tribe and watching all the soldiers (Fire Nation and Water Tribe I'm assuming) fighting each other, and there's a fireball that's streaming across the screen, Appa's in the top-left corner.
That was really good, I'm impressed. I had doubts that the bending (especially air) would look good, but this was really good.
From photos we've seen, Noah's airbending tattoos aren't the same as Aang's, they're black and they're mostly symbols arranged in the shape of an arrow, rather than a solid black arrow running across his scalp. However, when Noah was in the Avatar State, he had a full on blue arrow across his head.
Not really all that important, just something I noticed. I assumed that the tattoo would glow, and since the tattoo isn't a solid shape, the arrow shown during the Avatar state wouldn't be solid either.
But really, that was awesome, thanks Nightbender.

Man, I wouldn't take that serious because the man never watched the cartoon and pay attention when he says:
"There were also some weird scenes here and there interjected throughout the movie. An oddly miss-placed scene featuring a foot massage as well as some corny attempts setting up romances. One scene that I laughed at (but was intended to be serious) is when a certain baddy punches a fish to death. The horror the horror!"

The more I watch it the more I'm convinced that it IS Blue Spirit fighting with Aang.
That must be when he gets busted out of the Fire Nation prison.

Don't let one reviewers opinion affect you, i'm not going to just assume that Jackson's acting is bad just because that guy said it was. he's never watched the show so for all he knows, he could have been under acting the part (remember that guy said he was over acting the part at times)

my main concern is acting... cgi can be put in but if the acting of a comedic character is awkward..

@ Appa's daddy just because there wasn't a vent and a rock doesn't necessarily mean that it is not that scene, someone commented that it looked like Aang airbended the sand to protect the cabbage-merchant-look-a-like, in which case it might be that scene
also, one of the roles cast was "earthbending son" we have speculated that it might be Haru

I think we will see a character much like Haru, but maybe not the actual character. I can't really imagine the movie taking that much time to explore that whole plotline of the imprisoned earthbenders and their rescue.
So yeah, I think we will definitely see earthbending in the first movie. But it won't be a major part of the story until Toph in film two.

sorry but i will have to disagree... Aang in the back ground is completely motionless and the initially the guy (maybe the Earth bending son.. or Haru) is in a defensive Earthbending position hands to side.. firm grip with the ground..

Aang has the tatoos on his back, Im sure, and about the firebender vs. earthbender scene, I cant see if Aang is moving the sand with airbending and I cant see the face of this "earthbender" neither, but I actually can see that Katara is not there, and Sokka and Aang are, so, where is she?...

looks amazing so far, one things though, did anyone notice that when the guy firebended he didn't make the fire himself, he manipulated the fire that was already in the shot, I had heard rumors that the firebenders can't create fire in the movie, I really hope that isn't the case though
there's different music in the HD trailer, it doesn't really have the same effect as the non HD one though, they must have changed it because the music for the 2 minute trailer doesn't sound quite as epic condensed into 30 seconds. so i'm guessing they just put in the more rock sounding one in recently.

I showed this to my dad after watching it myself and he asked me "Where's Appa?" Curious because my dad wasn't too big of a fan of the show, I asked him why he wanted to now.
Apparently he had heard me scream "HOLY SH.T APPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" from the driveway.

Ok that makes a little more sense. it's nice seeing it in HD i just wish it had the same music, also the edges of the screen are cut off a little so you don't see Appa, but i can't wait for the real HD trailer to surface from the underbellies of the internet.

Everyone should be lucky they can see all of this. My computer hasn't been working for over 1/2 a year so I can't watch anything past a few seconds in these things, and I have a funny feeling that Appa is at the end of it.

Amazing. O_O I was afraid the bending would be cheesy, but in some parts, it looks AMAZING. Avatar State is done very nicely...and it even looks like exact scenes from the show in parts!!!

SO EFFING AWESOME! I screamed so loud when i saw it! Everything looks amazing! Especially that shot identical to the show! And even Appa looks identical to the show! I love the way the bending looks, kinda 300-ish. Slow motion awesome epicness. Just died and went to avatar heaven. Can't wait to see more!

It even sounds like the same voice of Roku from the show.
And the improved music on the HD version seems to have a hint of the show's main theme in it. Which would be awesome.

The similarities and care and atmosphere and effects and bending and passion and shots that look exactly from the show....... YESSSSSSSSS!!! MNIGHT ROCKS!!! Oh my gosh. With the HD versions you can really see his tattoo. It is there, running down his back but there are also two extra arrows! It almost is in the shape of a cross.... Very cool looking though. I love the design of the tattoo. I think it's better and more realistic that it's not solid. In the the Avatar state it's solid and the classic electric blue color so that's all that matters.
I agree as well that that is the Blue Spirit fighting with Aang. Also, the more I look at it, there is something funky going on with that fire/earth bending scene. Aang definitely moves his foot and the "earthbender" is taking more of a defensive position, like he was trying to shield himself from the fire, not block it with earthbending.

OK people, we have established that Appa is in the Super Bowl Ad. Stop being so lazy and look up five posts and the exact same question has been asked.
As for the music, if felt the original teaser trailer from last some was the best and most likely will be included in the movie. As for this trailer and the HD one, probably just marketing techniques. The HD is slightly mellower but the regular does draw attention and goes well with the action sequences better than the HD. I doubt either will make it into the movie. But for making a big impact, the rock is better. There wasn't rock is ancient Greece but that didn't stop WB from syncing the "Clash of the Titans" trailer to epic sounding rock.
Whatever, trailer is still F**CKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
