Ok my opinion is that no one is Earthbending. Aang airbends the sand to protect that guy from the fire. The earthkingdom guy looks more like he's shielding his face than performing a move.
The scene looks to be like firenation soldiers are bullying some villagers and Aang protects them. Can't tell for sure, obviously, but if you really look at it, that's what it looks like. Kyoshi island???

By the way, can anyone tell who is doing that waterbending near the end? I thought that it was Aang at first, but it just might be Katara.

it's not just sand, look through the sand, there is a stone pillar that shoots out of the ground. The rest is just the dirt/sand falling of the stone, so it can't be Aang

I believe that Aang is in combat alongside with the blue spirit or some other water tribe warrior at 0:19. Just a guess but it's curios that the surrounding firebenders aren't in battle, they're just duelling with Anng and some other person in my point of view

I just spotted an unfinished effect.
At 19 seconds as Aang slides past that Fire Nation guy, the end of his staff has nothing on it. I assume they were meant to CG a blade on the end to make the stunt safe but there's nothing there.
He's swinging a handle.

I had just found this video when I went to class earlier today at about 12:00 pm and I didn't get out of class until about 7:00 pm. I was thinking about this video the whole time. It was almost unbearable. I'm not even sure if I actually learned anything today.

I just wanted to give my thoughts on the whole "is it earthbending or aang " scene. As much as people keep thinking that aang is bending the air and shooting up dust, that just isn't happening in that scene. Here's what happening. If you actually slow it down in hd you can see clearly that a jagged rock is jetting from the earth with lots of dust around it. Now lets think of reasons why this is true, one... aang doesn't earthbend in season one, two... Im sure that guy would be toast if all aang did was whip up some dust to stop that firebending attack... and three the guy is clearly taking an earthbendy defensive stance while blocking the blow. AND FINALLY, we were told that there would be all 4 types of bendning in the tv spot! We have fire, lots of air, water.... and that my friends was earth.

the waterbender is paku, and in the end aang is standing on a white lotus that means it is the giant pai sho table mentioned in some of the episodes.

Sorry for my post before asking if anyone had see appa... I had just watched the trailer and commented straight away before reading any of the other posts... It's mentioned like 15 times hahaha.
@Waterbending Master - Yer I agree! Defiantly Mast Paku! If you watch the HD version just before the camera zooms out at 0:22 seconds you can see the grey hair... So it's defiantly not Katara. That kinda sucks! Katara doesn't do any waterbending throughout the entire TV spot and you don't even get to see Dev as Zuko... Probably just a stunt double as the blue spirit.
I'm still worrying about the firebenders and whether they'll be able to create their own fire... On one side it makes sense that they can't because the other benders can't they just manipulate their elements but on the other side it wouldn't make sense at the Northern Water Tribe. Where would they get their fire from??
Anyways judging by the trailer this film is going to be amazing! Hoping they keep some of the heavy metal music in the film. Just makes it feel so more kickass and it'll appeal more to people who are just wanting to see an awesome movie not because they're fans.

Granted, that guy was presumably an idiot to begin with. Umm.......isn't the goal to try and broaden the fan base of A:TLA in general. Random moviegoers are ALWAYS necessary to a movie succeeding at the box office. Though this movie will already pull in fans of the series, Paramount wouldn't wanna greenlight sequels if the first movie tanks. Cause I do not want this to become the next fantasy franchise "that couldn't". For example, "Eragon" and "The Golden Compass" both performed horribly at the box office, both left you expecting a sequel, yet sadly fans will never get them...............................
But this trailer proves that wont happen to TLA! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

The thing with the fire is, it does make sense that fire bender's should be able to manipulate an existing element like all the others, i completely understand the logic there, but if they change it it really wouldn't work, like just think about the moves they do, those fierce fire punches and all that wouldn't work if they had to use existing fire, it would make firebending like waterbending, which is just weird. and what would they do abut shooting lightning? they can't cut that out!!!
i REALLY hope they don't change that. it would just effect so much.
