New Photo with Zuko, the GAang, and Mystery Earthbender?

Someone on the forums over at
Herr-Der-Elemente.de seems to have gotten their hands on a new rough promotional photo featuring Aang, Zuko, Sokka, Katara, and a mystery Earthbender? Who could it be?

UPDATE: Frank Marshall has said this image is a fake. But, how much of it is fake? I mean, the studio did ask me to take it down...

Zuko looks pretty tight! Actually, they all look awesome!! Seriously, Zuko's like my favorite character and I think Dev will do an awesome job as him!

These are great! KATARA AND SOKKA LOOK FREAKING AWESOME! Zuko's face looks kinda weird and aang's whole pic is werid too...
For the people saying that on the earthbending pic it looks like rocks are bended with air, I guess that they're gonna add sand to the earthbending to make it look more realistic....

Well if this is a photoshop, which i'm sure it is, then the actual pictures are probably available somewhere else, probably larger and they would show a little more detail and the corners wouldn't be cut off.
I really hope the Earth bending doesn't use air also, it would take away the whole feeling of earth bending in the show, how it seemed like they had to be making contact with the rock to make it move.
As for the earthbender, he is definitely not some random guy, they wouldn't make some un-important character be standing all mysterious like that. i'm not sure exactly who it would be though.
And did anyone else notice that the art style is a lot like 300 here, with high contrast and almost cartoony looking, in a good way.

I dunno, the photos themselves look pretty legit to me... maybe someone took production photos and slapped them together? I'm not sure, just being hopeful

It isn't even the full logo. The full logo has the flags under it, each representing one of the four nations.

I think this poster was made in photoshop... I'm sure the actual pictures would be real... With the exception of the earthbending one (I swear I've seen that guy from another movie and he was earthbending like that in that one too... I'll try get the link for the movie I saw it in.
Just that they've all been put together by someone in photoshop. I agree that it's very un proffesional to just wham the logo in the center. At first I was way to excited to notice but after looking heaps closer you can really tell it's a bit of a crappy job.

Same here. The more I look at it the more flaws I see. The background is just on of the desktops from TLA website. Also, the A and the R in the title are cut off and part of a flag is in it. A good editer would have fixed it.
Also, on a side note, has anyone studied closely the way the Water Tribe desktop looks? It has a ripple in it and a reflection just like water. I don't know if I like it or not because it looks just duplicated and flipped vertically.

Even though Frank Marshall said that it's not legit ti doesn't mean that the four pictures aren't. Because it seems like someone came across those photos then created the boarder and title.

Aang looks like Negima in his hoodie (If anyone knows who that is.), and the earthbender looks like someone out of a Matrix movie. XD XD XD
Lulz aside, only Katara convinces me that she is doing any bending. Everyone else is just standing there with their element all up their personal space.
Seriously who bends with a normal standing pose? I don't even think they stand normally until their element is completely gone, just look at the trailer.
Here is my take on the earthbending talk. This pic is known to be fake in it's entirety, not necessarily the individual objects. As such we can't really trust if one thing is supposed to go with the other. So I think that the rocks aren't from the movie. I mean look at it, those rocks aren't realistic like the water or "air". The rocks look like sprites for a game. Also, I doubt that the hard, sharp, strong movements of earthbending would "flow" very well in the movie with too much sandbending or airbending the rocks around. It cannot image them making that work well, so chillax about the rockbending. It is a fake pic after all.

I don't even like the waterbending scene that much. The light source seems to be directly infront of the viewer, but Katara and Sokka have their lightsource from their backs, on top of that Sokka is right behind Katara, so why doesn't she have a shadow on her or on the ground. Besides Sokka looks out of place : His pose (A little to calm if Katara is attacking someone, but of course I'm assuming she is.), and the fact that every pic has only one person except for the water tribe portion, that doesn't really mesh well with me.

, the pic is a nice sight to see, gets one pumped for the movie, but it really shouldn't influence what you think of the movie too much if we can't rely on it.

the only parts that i think may be fake is the earthbender part, as well as the mix of all the photos.
the waterbending and firebending look extremely legit.
the airbending one is my least favourite one there anyways
the airbending looks like smoke!
but its pretty much awesome!

I was just thinking earlier that the pictures were probably taken by someone who was on set. Then he probably did the editing himself. That's my thought.
And I think I've seen the earthbender before. The rocks look terribly out of place, the dirt in the wind looks hideous, and now that I look at it closely, you can tell that the things that I pointed out(like ba sing se aqueducts) look like they came straight from ATLA the series.

Okay guy's here is the link to the "Youtube Video" that "AcaciaTree" added to his comment in another post. Take a look at the clip of the guy earth bending. He looks just like the guy from this poster and even the bending looks quite similar. So I think we can most defiantly rule out the earthbender being anyone in "The Last Airbender film. Thank god...
I still believe all the other pics are legit and have just been edited with photoshop or another photo editing program. I must say congrats to whoever made the fake poster, you had me fooled at first and it is quite a good job with the exception of the crappy title placing in the middle. A little extra work on that and I might of still believed it was real upon my second inspection haha.

Yes, it's a fake. Read the disclaimer under the picture on the main page of the site. Frank Marshall said it was a fake. If you look beyond the prettiness, you can see it's actually poorly done for a "high quality promo image". The main title is just a box that got pasted on there. What's more, the composition of the characters in the picture is not thought out at all. Any professional artist would be smarter than to put three characters in corners and all looking the same direction with the main character yet in another corner looking straight ahead. They would have the main character perhaps in the center to draw focus or have everyone in the picture looking in the same direction like the cover of a Star Wars movie. I feel stupid for getting so excited about this, but still the individual shots are still exciting. The graphics are great, the colors etc. It's still a sweet pic! Just not up to movie industry advertising standards.

Like I've said, Its very unusual for a promotional movie photo to be poorly presented like that. Its a big fake. Though some part of it looks legit, we'll soon see when new pictures comes.

anywayz... about the pic... or rather, pics. yeah, ninjafleaslayer is right. the guy in the vid and the guy in the pic look similar. and the background does look like it came out of the show... good eye.
i dont think that that zuko pic was actually a pic... if it was, it most likely was ozai.
as for the aang picture... it was probably an actual pic, with bending edited in.
i think the waterbending pic was real, somehow smuck off of the set.

@AcaciaTree: About the Zuko picture, what you said made me think... if you look closely at it, there might be someone good enough to have made this as a drawing. I wouldn't really be terrible surprised if it shows up in the ASN Oekaki sometime!
