UPDATED: A German Avatar fansite,
Herr-Der-Elemente.de, recently posted some pictures of the
GAang and Zuko on their website. There is no telling where they got these pictures from, but now we have pictures of the main cast members of
The Last Airbender.

Dev: He's good enough for me. I don't really like his hair, but it's not horrible.
Jackson: He sucks imo. I think his hair needs to be less wide and more like a wolftail.
Nicola: She looks great. I love that there are hair-loopies. She's a tad young and looks like Lucy from Narnia, but I think that is good so that Kataang is more believable.
Noah: What a dork. I don't like this picture. His ears are weird(but at the same time, Aang has big ears). He just looks a little childish.
Overall, it's decent. Sokka looks and little old and Katara and Aang look too young, and Dev I just can't relate Zuko to at all because they look nothing alike. Oh well. Night will work his magic hopefully.

I agree sachianna. I don't like the expression he always has in every single pic/vid we've seen of him. It's not our classic joking goofy kid Aang as he is when he comes out of the iceberg.

upon a further look past the happiness of a new update(woot)
Zuko - Dev has the universal expression down. I can't wait for him to speak. 2nd, i love how the scar moved into his hair to leave a few bald spots, and as for the hair itself, there's nothing wrong with it, i'd just rather have the bald cap or something.
Sokka - surprisingly ok. i'm afraid he'll have no comedy in his character. i would've loved the photo to have a smirk of arrogance or something.
Katara - i actually really like it. the loopies are done well. the expression shows the weakness i feel katara exhibited in the first season.
Aang - put a smile on that face first then ill review.

also, i think i have finally thought of a decent twist that i think we can all accept.
zuko speaks of ozai of just someone who burned him. by the end we realize that ozai is his father. i think people that know and love the series can accept that, as well as new audiences getting a decent twist.

aang- does have that bulldoggy face
sokka- looks alright but he does look like he just straightened his curly hair and combed it back
katara- i think she wouldve been better played as an Inuit but thats just me
other than that she looks decent
zuko- looks grea. i thought it would look bad without beeing shaved and the whole pony tail but it looks great

Ok, Aang looks like crap. I mean seriously. Was he on a hangover when they took that picture??
Zuko looks badass, the scar looks way better up close. Jackson is kinda wierd, he doesn't look much like Sokka in that picture. Nicola looks pretty good and accurate, so that is Ok. But seriously, fix Aang, his face is hurting me.

You have to think of them from a production point of view: They're probably reference pics for those who are doing the makeup and prosthetic!! The thing is...we've already seen aang and zuko professionally, and the majority of us really arent concerned with katara sokka and zuko,,,,
It's aang, who we already saw in makeup...and costume...and proper lighting.....that most of us are a little upset over...so we're not whining, just stating our opinions...

I think they look pretty good personally. As for Aang, I don't think everyone should be getting upset over it. I mean I would like to see him smile too, but in order to get the dramatic effect, and not make it look corny. I can see where you are coming from, but I don't think he looks that strange for a 12 year old boy with a shaved head. Maybe I'm just trying to remain optimistic.

I would hope that this shot was taken before his "first look" pic. And optimism is never a bad thing! Im usually that way as well. Aang's pic threw me for a loop thats for sure....but...

I like them all except Noah/Aang. I haven't seen him smile once. Smile boy!
Hopefully the actors watch the episodes closely to make sure they understand their character.

Wow...pretty generic. I have to admit, this is pretty much what I figured they'd have Katara and Sokka look like. Going with traditional Inuit/Yupic designs for everything but the actors.

im actually happy with Katara and zuko....but aang looks just really tired, which to me is not really attractive. and sokka looks funny....his ponytail needs to be narrower, and he needs to have another expression on his face. I think they all need make up....but i am soooooo glad they have them up now!!!

I think the most important thing is how well they can act. Even if they don't look like how they do in the TV series... if they're good actors than I'll be happy.
And I won't be able to tell *that* until I see the movie, so.... I'm staying optimistic!

I know exactly what the problem is, I was angry before I will admit, but not to put the fans and the people and the child actors who are doing their job on BLAST. The casting could and should have been better, but im OK with what they have. and I dont think its that HORRIBLE.At this point I just wanna see the movie....

Honestly, perfect? Were you paying attention to the show? The actors look nothing like their cartoon counterparts.
One of the key things to being perfect is looking somewhat close to the character they're portraying... none of them look anything like the characters from the cartoon... cept maybe Noah.
