Over the past couple months we've learned a lot about
Book Two of
The Legend of Korra. We've gotten hints at plot lines, seen new locations, and learned of new characters, all thanks to things like
The Legend of Korra: Enhanced Experience and Tumblr. And, from what we've been shown,
Book Two: Spirits appears to have a wealth of new characters. Luckily for us,
Entertainment Weekly just revealed the voice actors for who will be breathing life into these new characters!
Aubrey Plaza (
Parks and Recreation) will voice Eska, a Waterbending cousin of Korra's. Eska's twin brother, Desna, will be played by Aaron Himelstein (
Joan of Arcadia). James Remar (
Dexter) will play Korra's father Tonraq, and Lisa Edelstein (
House) will be the voice for Kya, Tenzin’s "sweet-yet-impatient" sister. But that's not all; John Michael Higgins (
Best in Show) has been cast as Varrick, the eccentric “Biz-Bender” capitalist, and Adrian LaTourelle (
Sons of Anarchy) will assume the role of Korra’s uncle Unalaq.
Book Two will pick up on Korra's journey when “the physical and spirit worlds collide” approximately six months after the events of
Book One. If you need a refresher on the events of Book One, the
Blu-ray and
DVD (which we happen to be
giving away) were just released this week! According to the
Entertainment Weekly article,
Book Two: Spirits is set for release later this year!
Whoa, I like that one guy playing Varrick! So funny
One week til comic con and hopefully a trailer!!
